What do you fine folks reccomend for tablet size? I've heard smaller is better for webcomics, but larger can be useful for other projects. So anyway, back to my original question, what do you prefer?

I've only had one tablet, 4x5 graphire3, which I love. <3
However, I would like to try a bigger size someday.

I think that it all depends on what you're going to use it for, if you're only going to doodle or do web comics, then a larger (and more expencive) size is a waist. If you plan on doing lare detailed pictures than a larger size would be more your style.

I have a Wacom Intuos 3 Graphics tablet (4x5), by the advice of a artist from my local con this past year (she was a professional graphic designer as well as an amazing fanartist.) She said that nine out of ten times you'll be zoomed in on a specific spot in a picture so you don't really need a larger size (it's true from what I've done with mine so far) and that the smaller sizes are cheaper and more portable. Hope this helps and good luck finding a tablet. heart

It's not the size that matters, it's what you do with it that counts.
Yup, that includes tablets.

Anything smaller than 8x6 is made for electronic signatures. Mine's 8x6 and it's the perfect size, I can't imagine trying to use something smaller. Mine's about the size of a sheet of paper folded in half. I found a good deal on eBay and got it for $56 (about $80 after shipping and handling). I'm not at home right now so I can't check what brand it is... but I like it. Only problem is, the pen tip is wearing down already, and it's brand new.

I'm a comic-newb, so would someone mind explaining/defining "Tablet" ?
I assume it's just dimension size, but...well, I dunno.
