I would say Mirrodin Block not for the cards but what it did for the number of people playing in my local area. They quit because noone could stand ravanger or they quit after the banning of so many cards

I would have to say Onslaught block. Yes, there was some good cards...sure...
But I am so sure they were trying to attract Yu-Gi-Oh kids with the 13/13 creatures and stuff.
In sealed it was hell cos people would just sit there and wait for their 'bomb' card to hit the table, turn it sideways and they win! There's no skill in that!!
But as Carisell said, Mirrodin block did terrible things to Magic players in our area. Our numbers at tourneys have halved since the days before Mirrodin.

since Tempest, i would have to say that there was not one block that i hated. i love the game a lot, and nothing would make me quit. if cards were banned, i find a way around it. the game is about thinking on your feet, not quitting if one creature layed the smack-down on you, that is being a coward. i have been killed many times by one card, and it is all fun and games, not to be taken too seriously. just think of a way to bypass that card. and indestructable? Alter's Light, remove 2 artifacts from the game (even though i never used that card)

I always thought it would be cooll to play an artifact deck. Then mirrodin came out. And Little Bashers.
That was just so uncool. The artifact block was bad, real bad. Equiptments went nuts, then we had indestructible. Darksteel collosus? I want to hunt down every single one of those cards and personally destroy it.
Ravnica was alot better than I tought it would be. But now they are bringing sets out too fast. Makes me think they are flailing. Like soda manufacturers and 21 flavors per bottle. Who the hell tastes 21 flavors?!

I think the worst set/block out there was the entire Mirrodin and Kamigawa block. Mirrodin seemed way too broken, and all the banned cards proved that theory.
Kamigawa had too many cards relying on specific cards. Not a good thing to have going on should something go wrong on you.

I didn't like alot of the older sets like ice age cuz the cards didn't really have any synergy with each other, they were just a bunch of cards mushed together.

Mirrodin and Darksteel were definately the worst.
Fifth Dawn was cool, but was unlucky that it got stuck with the other two.
Everything would have been cooler if the Artifact Lands had been LEGENDARY!
Anyway, that's history now, so I'll stop complaining about it.

I'd say kamigawa. Not all of it, just the Spirit/Arcane part of it. Its isolated in itself. I liked mirrodin, mainly because its the set i entered in. Anything back, the only reason i dont like older sets is because of the pre-6th ruling.
