This is Py's personal... to-do list... thread... thing. But she wants member input too.
So, first she'll detail what she thinks needs to be done, and members may propose further items if they are necessary.
The first order of business is, of course, to see exactly how many active members we have, and ban the rest. Sort of like starting over, and with just those that actually visit the guild. Once this is done, then I will go through and...
Clean out old roleplays, OoC topics, and move them to the Dead Threads Section. This should take care of the backup of old, dead roleplays that haven't been replied to in months and make the guild look as active as it is. Once this is done, I think it's a good idea to go through and
Redo all the announcements, rules, and stickies. This is, of course, only if the guild heirarchy decide to change anything. I.E. the name, the crew, the basis of the guild, or any minor things. I'm thinking the announcements need to be updated anyway >> they're a bit old and a bit too long for easy reading. After this is done, if it becomes necessary, Py thinks it is a good idea to...
Host a recruit contest. And of course Py will dash out and pick up as many new members as she possibly can. This is of course after finding a way to keep tabs on the memberslist without having to check the transaction list to see who's joined. Py suggests that a thread is made where members can post their own admission into the guild. Granted, it'll be many posts long, but at least the posts will be dated and we can see if the person has posted within a month of joining. Just seems more efficient, if not less work for the mods xD
Uhm.. after recruiting... provided we get a decent number of members, gathering a bigger crew would be a good idea. Assign a mod for the OoC board, two for the main roleplay forum, at least, and one overall to manage communications between members and the guild crew. The captain, I think, will be responsible for everything in between. -noddles-
After the guild crew is sorted out, we can maybe start some new subforums, like a writing subforum or some such. Some place to write creatively without necessarily roleplaying =3 or maybe it can be an art forum. For peotry, creative writing, and drawings as well =)
And after the subforums are up and running with its own mod, then the guild crew can get to organizing something more directly involved with the members. Roleplay spotlights with rewards, some contests, events, anything to boost up member activity and provide an entertaining place to chill on the weekends after a week of decent roleplaying =3
Uhm... yeh. That stuff seems to be in a decent order, and here are a few things I'd like to accomplish along the way.
- recruiting. loooooots of recruiting.
- maybe change guild name, banner, and front page
- finish the roleplay academy and hire tutors
- prod Sormani into finishing the Warning List
- Mod the boards (lawl)
- clear out old members
- =) do some roleplaying. Finally.
Anyway.
Did I miss anything? I'll let you guys decide. I might make an announcement about this thread, but neh, iono, tis not that important. Heck, as long as you guys roleplay, doesn't matter if the guild is rebuilding itself, neh?
Anyway. Py luffs you all x3 if she didn't she wouldn't bother with the horrendous amount of work ahead of her to revive this guild.
Yay CI <3
