Audioslave is better!!! They can't be compared. Audioslave and Soundgarden have completely different sounds, because they're essentially completely different bands. I like them both, mostly because I can honestly say that Audioslave is better than Rage Against the Machine.

I really don't...Zack was skilled, but it got too political. Although I love how people compare Audioslave with Soundgarden, when it should be compared with Rage.

I mean the first time i heard them, i didn't associate the sound with either RATM or Soundgarden.

Honestly, like it's been said it's 3 different bands. In my way at looking at them, Soundgarden>RATM>Audioslave. I really dug Cornell's vocals in Soundgarden... They were reeealy wild. I love it when he holds his voice... The more recent sample in Audioslave I see in that is "Cochise."
I really don't think the 3 should be compared just becuase they share members. RATM was something unique... I don't know what they would call the genre... Some say Nu-Metal while others say something else. But, what I really dug about rage was the awesome rhythm section... It was there but more than likely outshined by Morello's experimental guitar. Which by the was awesome to the max. The guy explores sounds I didn't know guitars could make! As for the constant political messages... I thought it was right. I mean... they actually knew what they were talking about... Rather than some kid pissed off the world so he blames some higher authority becuase (Insert childish reason). Correct me If I'm wrong but I think Morello went to... Harvard? Anyways... I really can't get my message out in the right words... Becuase I'm cooking dinner and talking at the same time. (Going back and forth... between oven and here. Hell it took me 10 minutes to write that paragraph.)
Well, I think it's safe to assume how Soundgarden is compared to Audiosalve. They're grunge... more than likely at least or I'm hoping half this guild has at least listened to them. Not much to say here but rock on.... Incrediable band.
Now for Audioslave it mixes a little bit of Rage's playing... Becuase that's who it was. RATM without Zack De La Rocha (What a badass name!). Their producer gave em' Cornell and bing! Audioslave. I think what people need to do is stop thinking of it as Rage Against the Garden Sound Machine and think of it like Dave Grohl going to Foo Fighters. Different sound but still able to stand on it's own Crutches. I'm sure it'll lose the comparasion over time but for now I guess a lot of people are already just knocking down on it... Oh well. I wonder if Soundgarden or Pearl Jam had those problems?

I quite like Audioslave. I've only heard a few songs on the radio, but I think I'll buy their newest album.

Has anyone heard Chris Cornell's new song for '007 Casino Royale' ?
It's too James Bond, not at all Chris, or Audioslave or Soundgarden. I suppose he had to bend over backwards and do that song that way because of the snobs who control 007, wanting him to produce something along their normal lines...
