Sakura stood at her usual spot and waited for Kakashi. She felt very lonely nowadays and couldn't shake that feeling off. It really didn't help that Kakashi always forgot about their training sessions, either. It just made her feel even more...scared.

Hinata readied herself for the day. She was suppose to meet Naruto for lunch. She had asked him to meet her just to chat about things that have changed in the village since they all graduated. She remembered how he hesitated before his respionse but was still able to smile out a 'sure, I'll come'. She brushed her hair and pulled her headband over her head and placed it around her neck. Then grabbing her sweatshirt, she took off.

Naruto was running late, again. He had really taken his old teacher. Usually, he didn't mind being late, but today was different. Hinata would be the one waiting for him. Naturally, he knew she wouldn't get mad at him for being late, but that alone would make him feel bad. She always seemed to forgive him so easily. He didn't deserve her kindness though. Sometimes, he wished she would just hit him in the face. But she never did, which was something he loved about her

She glanced at the clock on the wall and sighed. She had already gone through three glasses of iced tea and a cookie. How much longer was he gonna be late. Each time he got later and later, yet he never seamed tom improve his tartiness. Maybe it was her kindness that told him it was okay to be late.
"Why do i love you so Naruto-kun. Why? If only i could tell you my feelings, maybe then I would understand... but i couldn't. Could I?"
Hinata sighed and siped her tea once again.

Naruto suddently came crashing in the restaurant.
" Sorry I'm late Hinata-chan!!!"
Everyone turned to look at him.
Oups, looks like I was too loud again.
Naruto always seemed to cause a scene wherever he went. It had been that way ever since he was young. Now, in his late teenage years, he still seemed to always be too loud. He didn't even do it to get attention anymore, it was just how he was.
He looked around the restaurant and spotted Hinata, who was blushing madly.
Great, I've embarassed her again.
His shoulders slumped down.

The sight of Naruto caused her cheeks to heat up and her heart melt. He looekd over to her and his happy-go-lucky expression faded to adness as his shoulders slumped.
Naruto-kun, what is wrong? Why do you stop smiling when you see me? Everytime we meet you do this? are you not happy to spend time with me? Is there something more important for you to do? Another girl? Is it Sakura?
Hinata felt her heart die as the thought of Naruto and Sakura together crossed her mind. Naruto cared for the pink haired ninja almost as much as herself cared for him. If only she had the courage to tell him her feelings.

Naruto walked over to her table and took a seat across from her, still unable to look her in the eyes. He hated the way he would always embarrass her. It broke his heart.
" I'm sorry I'm late Hinata-chan" he said more quietly.
Everyone around them had gone back to they conversation, though many of them would occasionally glance at him, as if they were talking about him. Nomally, this wouldn't bother him, but he hated it when it happenned in front of Hinata. It was weird, she was the only person that had that effect on him.

Naruto wont even look at me. I must be another girl and he feels ashamed of meeting me here.
hinata tried to hide her shame and peeked outside the window. There, across the street she saw Sakura walking by. Shakura gave a weak smile and waved. Turning her attenion back to Naruto, Hinata saw Naruto smiling and waving at Sakura.
It's Sakura...
Hinata gfelt her heart fal to the pit of her stomach. Naruto was with Sakura which left her without anyone. Shne could feel tears welding up in her eyes as she pushed her chair back and stood up.
"I'm sorry Naruto..."
And not able to hold them back anymore, Hinata ran from the resturant crying, bringing with her alot of unwanted attention for both her and Naruto (mostly Naruto).

Naruto there sat there stunned for a few seconds.
Ok, so I came in late and embarassed her, but now I've made her cry too?
It seemed he had two option. He could either stay here, alone and miserable, or he could go after her. Not leaving too much time to think it through, Naruto quickly got up and rushed after her.
I just can't stand the thought of her crying because of me!

Hinata contiued running through the streets of Kohana. It was verey unlike her to push through crowds, but she just wanted to get away.
"I'm sorry, excuse me."
Hinata pushed through the crowd of young ninja academy students and ran towards the training field. Once there, she ran to a tree and gripped it tightly, sliding down to fall on her knees.
How could I be so selfish. Thinking Naruto would even like a girl like me? He was always found making eyes at Sakura and it was only a matter of time once he matured.
"Oh Naruto-kun, forgive me for not seeing it before. I hope i haven't ruined anything."

Naruto slowly kneeled down from behind her and wrapped his arms around her.
" How could you ever ruin anything Hinata? I'm the one who always messes up. I'm sorry."
He felt as if he should let go. He was probably making Hinata uncomfortable. But right now, he didn't care. All he wanted to do was hold her close.
