Olivia's Dream In L.A.
A "Triumphant Return"
To Her Father's Homeland

Half Japanese half American singer Olivia (age 26), who sang the ending theme song to NTV's hit anime "NANA," will be performing live at the Pacific Media Expo (PMX) in Los Angeles, October 28th 2006. For Olivia, being able to take the stage for the first time in the US, signifies a "triumphant return" to her homeland. "It was a dream," which was said with excitement.
Olivia was granted the wish of a "Triumphant Return Concert." She will appear at PMX, an event which not only celebrates Japanese animation and movies, but many different entertainment outlets offered by Japan. This year is PMX's 3rd anniversary.
United States' interest in Japanese animation is especially high. Japan's super popular manga "NANA," is sold even in the US. Now, negotiations are advancing towards broadcasting. This time, the presentation of Olivia in the US will be on the fact that she obtained the role of Reira the songstress, Nana's rival. Olivia's enchanting voice was chosen out of many other female singers, to represent Reira's musical vocals.
Olivia is half American (father) and half Japanese (mother). Although she was born in Okinawa, Olivia has been moving back and forward from Japan to the US, since the age of 2. Regarding the live, "Till now, I have grown up in two different cultures, and two different language environments - Both of which are important hometowns to me. It is a dream to be able to perform live in my other homeland, the United States. I am really happy," she relates with her heart dancing.
Moreover, Los Angeles where the event will take place, is where Olivia's little brother and sister lived. "Since I have been there many times, it is a favorite place of mine's." Because the area is a familiar place, she feels just a bit insecure performing live.
PMX is an annual event which attracts 10,000 to 15,000 spectators yearly. For it's main live events, a crowd of 2,000 is usually expected. Olivia says that she will take the stage for a one hour performance. The Americans' expectations for the songstress who can manipulate both the Japanese and English language, will be especially high. The "Triumphant Return Concert" can most likely serve as a huge stepping-stone towards a full debut in America. credit

Does anyone else plan to go? I'm actually gonna go!! EEKK I'M SO EXCITED<3 The concert itself will be held on October 28th and on the 29th I hear she will be judging a Nana cosplay contest. Unfortunately, I can only go on the 28th...but still, I'M GONNA SEE OLIVIA!! ^__^

OMG THE CONCERT!! Well first, it started at 7:30-ish and IMITATION POP UchuSentai NOIZ performed for a small concert...OMGGGG!! THEY'RE ARE AWESOME. Has anyone heard of them? They're a Visual Kei band.

Man, they were soo adorable. I got a picture with them! ^__^ They're like a weirder version of Psycho le Cemu and the Power Rangers fused together. xD They played so loud and I touched Angel-Taka's (the vocalist) finger, TAKEswiy's shoe that was like Goofy's from Disney XD, MASATO's pants (nearly....><), SuperVibrator's, 叫's fingertip, but I couldn't touch S@TT-ON....>< But yeah, I'm still sore from jumping and waving my glowstick everywhere. Oh and from screaming, I lost my voice. xD But yeah, they were awesome! And ANGEL-TAKA laughed at my since I was mocking his movements. So energetic....<3
Then DiG Jelly went. They're like a local band that performs in places like Anime Expo and that sort of thing. But the vocalist Reiko wears...skimpy outfits. But she has such a strong voice. But her skirt was so short that it showed parts of her underwear and I've never seen any Asian with such big boobs so I'm betting it's plastic. Mmhmm...it was definately plastic. Then I thought she blew me a kiss because it look specially for me. xD But it was for people in the back. Their performances were so long though....-___x Especially since OLIVIA was gonna be after.
But then...when OLIVIA came out, everyone stood up and I sang along with the English parts of her songs....and goodness, she was amaazing....I'm so amaazed and breathtaken. It feels like a DREAM. Seriously....I have PICTURES that I'll send you once I transfer them onto my computer. Oohh she said Thank You when I gave her my little fan letter...^___^ But she said something else afterwards that I couldn't really hear since my ears were temporarily deaf after the concert. She was soo sweet and cute and she was signing autographs! <3 She signed my Wish/Starless Night CD/DVD and my poster....*sigh* She was soo ADORABLE....and petite! Gorgeous....amazing....AHHH I'M SOO SHOCKED.
Her poster is definately going to be right next to Mana.<3

Ahhh i'm so jealous! I wish i could have gone, bu i don't live in America! >_<
