Reza entered the restaurant, in his normal attire. A skittish waiter attempted to speak to him, but he just brushed him aside and walked to where Estrella was waiting. She practically sparkled in the dim lighting, diamonds hanging from her ears and neck. Her black dress had a low neckline, and looked very mature and elegant compared to her normal frills and childish vanities.

But Reza wasn't looking at her, he was scanning the room for the customer that Estrella mentioned. Saying no greeting, he sat down across from the lovestruck woman and spoke, "Where is our guest?"

Estrella's smile turned nervous, "He's probably just late." Reza nodded and ordered some wine, he really was a rather patient man.

Until about fifteen minutes later.

"Estrella, what is going on?"

"He must've gotten cold feet," she muttered. Reza shook his head, "Very well, then. I'd best head back."

"Wait, but what about dinner?!"

"Put it on my credit," his sentence was hardly finished by the time he walked out the door.

Estrella grumbled, she'd have to try the more direct approach.

Reza stared at her for a moment, his impossible eyes widening... just a bit... in response to her strange request.

Then he started to laugh. This was a sound that would give most people nightmares, but Estrella didn't move. She was scared, of course, but the sound also made her heart curdle from jelly to... um... jello. Yes, jello.

Finally, the man stopped laughing and he looked at the woman in front of him.

"Well," he chuckled, "It's nice to see some of the different reactions Dark Chips can have on people."

Estrella gawked, "W-wait, you think that this is just some side-effect of the Dark Chips?!" Reza continued to laugh, looking at her like she was hopped up on drugs (which she was, but she felt that this was deeper than just Dark Chips).

"I'm being serious, here!" Estrella yelled, "I want to be your wife and raise your children!"

By now Reza was laughing so hard that he clutched at his abdomen, doubled over his desk.

Then he stopped.

"Have you lost your head, Estrella...?" he almost whispered, his voice dark and filled with danger. The woman stiffened as his multi-spectrum eyes rose to meet hers. They were cold, so cold that they could choke emotion out of all who claimed to love. Except Estrella... and that made Reza curious.

She tried to make a sound as Reza was suddenly in front of her, but she was cut off by his limber fingers digging into her jugular and pressing against her windpipe. His smile was twisted, but looking at it... Estrella realized that she feared his emotionless face more than this form of sick joy. Even as her white face started to become tinted with blue, she felt her fear melting away.

"Say you love me now, Estrella," his smile widened even more, so much that his face looked laced with demons.

Data was flowing in front of Estrella's eyes, isn't that what the two of them were? Just data? No... data in a human body. In a human body that needed air.

Without air, Estrella couldn't speak. But she still opened her mouth. A pitiful croak that tried to sound like "I" escaped her dark lips before she crumpled in Reza's choke-hold.

Reza's smile disappeared as quickly as it appeared, and he dropped her to the ground.

"Proposal accepted."
