I've recently had two ideas for a story. One is pure wacky fantasy and the other one is medieval fantasy. So tell me which one you think is better if either.
Number one: Eclair is a normal fairy, she has magic powers, wings and is quite small. Unfortunately for her, she was hit by a fly swatter and one of her wings broke, leaving her defenseless and lost. Now a school girl applying for magic school called Megan discovers Eclair and her missing magic wand and after confiscating the wand, she makes a deal. She'll repair Eclair's wing and let her go home if she helps Megan with her daily school life, boyfriend, grades, annoying teachers etc. But there's a catch too. If Eclair screws up, she's going to be fed to Megan's cat!
Number two: Vanessa is the main character, a cheerful 13 year old girl travelling as a musician with her twin brother, Merl. And of course as twins, they don't get along. What she doesn't yet know is that her mother, a famous killer has transferred her dark magic into Vanessa! Vanessa slowly loses herself and gains more power... Once the twins discover this, they set out on a real journey to destroy their mother's magic bracelet and forever lose the dark powers. (Oh and the thing is, Vanessa keeps getting darker skin and purpler eyes as well as losing her personality. You see, at first the bracelet is your slave, you use magic whenever you want. But the more you use it, the more you become it's slave and you lose your personality, memories, feel and everything just to protect the bracelet. It's very strong so the only way to get it off is to go the place they're going, Alavier, a village known for it's healing, cleansing and holiness.)
Well what do you guys think? Any criticism or compliment? Please tell me which you like better if any.

Meh, it's just my opinion, but usually the wacky sort of fantasy can be difficult to carry out. Generally medieval fantasy will work out better, and the details of this bracelet are kind of intriguing.
