Okay I keep on hearing about this sister that she had, but left her because she couldn't take care of baby rukia or something. supposibly she also married Rukia's "brother"... what I want to know is: What's the deal with her (the sister) and if anyone has any pics of her.

Her name is Hisana Kuchiki. When they were in the living world, Hisana was faced with the responsibility of raising Rukia ( I speculate that their parents died or something ). One day, something terrible happened ( I've heard other people guess it was an earthquake ) and Hisana tried to save Rukia, but they both died. At that time, yes, Rukia was a mere baby.
Next, in the Soul Society, Hisana had to abandon her due to rules. She regretted that decision for the rest of her life.
After being married to Kuchiki Byakuya for some time, she died; her final request of 'Byakuya-sama' was that he find Rukia, adopt her, protect her, and be the older sibling she was unable to be herself. It was very sweet.
Rukia never knew that Hisana was her sister until after Ichigo had defeated Byakuya. Rukia had always known that she looked like Hisana, however, and she figured that was the reason Byakuya had adopted her. Byakuya finally confessed everything when he was being nursed back to health by Unohana Retsu. ( I've noticed that Unohana bears an uncanny resemblance to Rukia. o_O;; )

ahhh... I see. hmmm...so what rule was it that prevented the sisters to be together?

Luci the Fallen One ahhh... I see. hmmm...so what rule was it that prevented the sisters to be together? Something about you can't look after children in Rukongai, I think. o_O;;
