That's right. I finally gave in, and made a thread about Nightmare. As many of you may already know, it is my obsession. My boyfriend can vouch for my crazy obsession.

Hmm, I'm interested to see how the 3-D version will turn out. I really like the format the movie's in already, so we'll have to see.
I do love this movie, but I feel that it's been over-commercialized because of the goth/punk/emo trend that's been promoting it.

--The SpriteAgreed, it's been overcommercialized. Wolfie and I were at the Disney Store about a week ago, and we saw a Jack Skellington "athletic" shirt, with the word "Varsity" all over it. Could the marketing people really be so clueless they're trying to sell Jack to the jocks?

Well, yesterday, Cass and I were at the mall. We passed by Claire's on the way out, and what I saw amoung the Hillary Duff "Stuff" and other tween accessories, made me cringe. Nightmare accessories, right in front.
The kiddies that shop at Claire's weren't even alive when Nightmare came out.......
I actually remember seeing it when it came out.
My best friend saw it ten times in theaters.
So when I say that I obsess over The Nightmare Before Christmas, you can be assured that I have actually seen it, I actually know every song. I am actually a Burton/Elfman freak.

My little brother is following your steps. He's 4 and does a great Jack Skellington voice (and he only speaks spanish).

Oh man. I love the Nightmare Before Christmas so much. I saw it when it first came out too and I'm a huge Burton/Elfman fan myself. It's true that Burton's work in general has been over commercialized thanks to the trend but it won't stop me from loving it less. It's one of my cherished childhood memories. I love Sally most.
