At one point in time, Flynt was one of the most prominent cities on Altera. after the meteor crashed, most of the formidable city was destroyed. People fled to the areas around the tower and out of the town. All that's left has been virtually forgotten by the people of the Junkyard.
In an effort to restore itself, Flynt has focused on education. Most highly educated people come from Flynt and travel to teach, often heading back to learn more and share their experiences. It has become a city of teachers and knowledge, but few people realize this, and ignore the once beautiful city of Flynt.

Walking down the barren streets of Flynt, he kept his head down in his solitary march. He had been all around but for some reason this city drew him in the most.
As he walked he noticed some humans walking about but for the most part they were all inside tending to themselves and their lives. The world was in a pathetic state but still people found away to live relatively peaceful lives.
Pulling his hood over his head he slowly opened his left eye hoping that no one could see the glow, or the difference in colour from his right eye. He didn’t want to be shunned in this city like the others. The longer he fit in the better it would be.

Loa dashed through the city her messager back flapping helplessly, pined closed and over stuffed with workbooks. Her hair streamed out behind her, as it had long ago escaped from its binding on Loa's mad dash. A small black blurr was the object of the long chase, it ran between people and Loa dogged and apoligized as she tried to keep up. Her breath came in short gasps as the cat gained a bit of distance. She shouted at a tall guy walking with his head down, "Hey! Grab that cat will yeah!?"

Bending over he grabbed the cat by the scruff of its neck and hefted it into his arm. At first it made its protest but soon relaxed in his gentle yet certain grip. It wasn’t going anywhere but he wasn’t planning on hurting it.
Turning he shut his eye and lowered his hood. Looking at the girl chasing the cat he said, “Is this your cat?” His voice was gentle but also held a cadence of power witch suggested confidence. He was not asking for the sake of asking but to determine her intentions.
Sizing the girl up he noticed something different in her then the rest of the people around him, although it was faint. His curiosity was peeked. Was she one of them or more like himself? He smiled as he thought about it. She would be the first in a while that he has been in the presence of.

Loa put a hand under her neck and took a deep breath, "In a round about way. His mother decided to have kittens on my bed, and then leave them in my care. That one is normaly the one that follows me around everywhere, but I guess he didn't like my teacher." She reached for the cat and took her gently and placed him on her shoulder then started to scold it. "If you don't like someone just bite them, Neko. Don't run away, it makes me have to chase you, and I really don't like trying to follow you." She bowed to the man "I really ought to thank you. Is there anything that you need help with?"

He shook his head and smiled. She was a lively person but then all youths were. “No I am fine. There isn’t much I do so there isn’t much to help,” he said kindly, still smiling.
Petting the cat on its head he looked the girl in eyes and said, “Now if that is all you will be needed my help with then I will be off.” With that he smiled, bowed, and then turned walking away at a slow pace.
Thinking about the girl as he furthered the distance between them he figured that she wasn’t an amp. She didn’t have enough of the feel to be one although there was a degree of concentration to her. She seemed in control and to move about with more confidence seen in most humans of her relative age group.
Shrugging to his inner thoughts he figured that either way it was just a random encounter on the street, nothing more. It would have been nice however to have been in the presence of one such as himself.

Loa watched him leave well aware of the itch that seemed to sit behind her eyes when she looked at him. The small kitten mewed and seemed to urge her forward. She walked quickly behind him kind of like a shadow trying to findout why he made her eyes itch. She spoke softly so only he could hear. "A walking puzzle... I hope that you don't mind me following you for a while..." As she walked she dug slightly into her energy and foucsed it into a sharp sort of glasses to help her see. She blinked rapidly when she saw the faint green glow...

He smiled as she followed. It was interesting that she had decided to do so but to a degree that he was uncomfortable. Allowing her to follow him wasn’t something he had any objections to but he was now leaning more towards the idea that she may indeed be of the amplified nature.
Hearing her comment he shook his head and replied, “A puzzle I am not. I am merely a book with a heavy cover. The only question now is do you have the strength to open this book.” He was going to try and make things as interesting as he could. He could make a game out of it and see how willing she was to get answer. They were after all in the city of education.
As he walked on he straightened his posture and started to walk normally, rather then his hunched daydreaming posture in which he normally trod with. He figured that he would at least show her that respect while playing, if she was up for the game.

Loa scowled "It is not strength that is need insomuch as the knowledge of where to open book. Because even the heaviest of covers can be lifted by feather applied in the right place." She paused at consider him once more, "That and the book turns out to be far more intersing that the reader first thought, for the cover belittles the content." She sped up so she walked abreast of him. All the time thinking untill she looked at his face, her eyes then widened, "Doesn't walking around with one eye closed get on your nerves?" She asked inocently.

He smiled. She was right to a degree but he decided that if he furthered his believes it would only bring conflict. He wanted to play a game but one like that would be best saved for someone in which he didn’t like.
Shrugging at her comment he said simply, “It did at one point but I have been walking around like this for a while so I have gotten used to it.” There wasn’t much more in which he wanted to share about his eye but he would keep that to himself. He didn’t want to be rude.
Looking down at the girl as they walked side by side he then asked with a smiled, “Does walking around with a cat on your shoulder get on your nerves? Surly it limits your range of motion, and I am sure that the cat would be quite fine on its own. Cats are independent animals and don’t need someone to be watching them all the time.”
As he finished he suddenly feared that he might have offended her in a way. She would surely have her reasons for doing what she did as surely as he had his own for doing as he did. It was an impolite question to ask of her just because she had gotten curious about his eye. He though of apologizing but then decided he would wait to hear how she responded. It would be best that he see how she reacted instead of making any more assumptions.

Loa smiled and did a cartwheel with the cat still frimly ensconced on her shoulder, the cat looked rather smug at this and mewed. "I can plead to the same thing as you. He sits there because he is comfy, and we both happen to be traviling in the same direction, and as a cat thinks why walk when there is someone else willing to walk for you?" To her the reasoning was very sound, but then again she lived with cats, and their actions tended to rub of on their servants. "Where do you live?"

“I live everywhere and nowhere at the same time,” he said with a smile. He had no home but made a home wherever he was. That was the only way he really knew how to live and it hadn’t failed him yet.
Looking the girl over he smiled. She seemed rather spirited and it was contagious. He was feeling his spirit rise in her presence. He also noted that calmness of the cat despite the cartwheel. It was unlike any cat he had come across. They were all skittish and jumpy.
Returning his sight affront of him he continued along. She had asked where he lived but he would refrain from asking her the same. It was quite obvious that she was of the city and so for him to ask where she lived would only mean to ask exactly where she lived and he had no need to know that.

Loa stuck her tonuge out at the sky, "Sounds much better then where I live. Travling is always so much more fun than staying in one place overlong." She glanced at him once again and spoke softly, "Green. Am I right?" Her eyes, now held a slight purple tint that was hidden under the blue-green. Her cat calmly observed him watching his reactions as much as Loa did. The cat was far better at reading body lanuage than Loa was, much of the animal's lanugage being that of the body.

He looked at her with a little suspicion in his eye. She was an amp after all. Opening his left eye he revealed her own suspicion to be true and at the same time also proved her guess to be true as well.
Shutting his eye again he hoped that the permanent mutation of his eye didn’t make her uncomfortable. Most of an amps power was in how much of their body changed during their amped state but for the most part all were just the same as a human normally. So only a powerful amp would have a mutation like the one he had and for the most part that scared other amps. He hoped that it wouldn’t have the same effect on her.
Finally nodding at her question he then said, “Yeah.” He didn’t really know what else to say. He felt more comfortable in the presence of another amp but at the same time it was a little offsetting. Usually amps where slightly territorial of other amps and as their powers grew became more violent. With his life style, and his personality, he had nothing to be territorial over and didn’t develop that way but most of the normal amps did.
Looking at her through his peripheral vision he sized her up and waited to see what she would either say or do next. Would she test his power to see if she could force him off her turf or continue to be friendly with him? Only time would tell.

She gave a wry grin, "I'm purple. Though i'm not half as strong as you are. My abilites run along things far less noticable." She started to put Neko softly. "Though that is a rather nice shade of green. Oh and you don't have to worry about me. " She said gibly as she smiled, "I don't have much to be warry about." Being rasied in an orphanage, and still living there had given Loa a strange outlook on life and allowed her to accept some things that many others might not have. She thought along the lines of why should I get all defensive just cause he is a great deal stronger than me, wouldn't do me much good would it? Plus he seems kinda nice.
