Do you feel accepted for who you are? (As a practicer of wicca, witchcraft, paganism, et cetera.)
What do you do when you encounter intolerance?
My name is Lily. My friends call me Sophie because it is a name I have chosen for myself.
I have practiced for 8 years and have been Wiccan for about 5 (I think)
Being 16 and a half I have only begun to encounter such intolerance. I usually explain to them about my beliefs, and how even though I was raised Jewish, and still hold many of those beliefs, I also hold true to Wicca because it is comforting. My loving boyfriend, Chris, however was raised Christian and his family does not accept the practice of magick. There is a time to retreat from your normal self when love is involved. Chris on the other hand, loves magick (not to practice, but he loves reading about it and stuff). Magick changes people. It has changed me for the better, and made me a much better person. What about you?

Haha oops i forgot to mention something!
Im kind of a beginnger empath (well for the last 2 years) so like... yea...i kind of encounter some weird things. Dont feel shy. (Wants to become a psychologist) xd

Well.. i've recently become a Wiccan.. and being Wiccan feels.. um, 'refreshing'? but i haven't tried any magick yet.. and i have experienced a little intolerance.

It is very refreshing. You're quite right. ^_^ Honestly, i dont really use my magick unless absolutely necessary. and always remember the number one rule of course:
What you do comes back to u three times three times three.
(heh...the most important number is three, though my lucky number is thirteen)

All of my friends except me for who i am, but my parents really dont like magic or magick. although my dad has a couple of friends that practice the craft. my mother's very protective about this sort of thing. she wont let me look at a tarrot deck even if i wasnt planing on buying it. but ohwell i guess ill have to do my shopping in secrecy.

My mom isnt supportive but she buys me stuff. and my dad...well he doesnt care. lol, hes very neutural. my mom is like...overprotective and a little annoying....
We went to salem massachusetts and thats where i got my tarot card deck. its like..tarot of the moon garden....or something like that. (hasnt read the title of the deck in a long time)
and i have a few books that i bought on magick. also, i went to the school library and the public library and got many books on magick and i wrote a lot of useful stuff down in my mirror book. (basicly a diary that u put the most important stuff about wicca (etc) in it.)

yea isnt a mirror book like a book of shadows. yea well my dad might be ok with it and say dont use it to harm anyone or hell get into a fit and start say da f-word alot!!! sweatdrop

haha. my mom gets mad at me if i start using "crap" in the house...man i would never be able to say anything bad in my house. ^_^;; but like yea...i know what a mirror book is. i was trying to give a brief description in case others didnt know. lol. i have one. it has a pretty gold design on the front. my mom gave me it to sketch in....haha...i did one sketch in it. its of mountains and stuff....i was bored in biology class last year. lol. ^_^;; but like...yea.....its hard to deal with parents who want to basicly sheild us from the world. lol, my bf is still surprised that i dont know half the stuff that he knows about a lot of random stuff.
lol....yea...it sucks when ur the child prodigy in the family...and the oldest of the kids in the family....

im the youngest and the only son. so i had to live with two evil sisters. well not really evil but you knwo what i mean.
i mainly research and practice at nigth when everyone is asleep its jus so much easier. and that way im not gunna be disturbed

Do you feel accepted for who u are? Why should I need acceptance from anyone other then myself? Conformity is not why I exsist. It is better to care little to nothing of what others think. Step on those in the way and help those willing to help themselves.
What do u do when u encounter intollerance? I push forward as only the truth hurts and if people feel they can belittle me with wasted comments and empty threats so be it. I will not hesitate knocking them out or countering they ignorance with facts. Knowledge is power and power is wasted on idiots so don't waste your breathe break a face instead.
I am Leo a man who gave up on careing a long time ago. We are not pawns in some empty dieties courtyard. We are all highly intelligent beings when who take time to learn and study what is to be known can move what needs when it needs done. Exsist to believe in oneself and kick the oppressive to the curb be the box not live in or out of it...

You've read Scott Cunningham's Wicca for the Solitary Practicioner, haven't you? I have a Mirror Book myslef, and I believe it can be considered seperate from a BOS.
When it comes to intolerance. . . My stepmom is all against Wicca, any kind of occult, actually, but my dad is somewhat open minded. Though he still expects me to be Christian and seems to think this is just a phase. Well, this phase is two months and a week a way from being a year old. The kids at my school don't even know what Wicca is. I don't just say this without evidence, as Scott Cuningham's book was once lying on my desk (covered by something else, of course) and the girl next to me tried to grab at it. Now it's like a great mystery to all the blonde girls (I know that's kind of stereotypical, but all the girls in that group are blonde). Which is a pretty good thing, since I live in the Bible Belt.

I felt liberated, the world suddenly opened up, after crying for a day i settled down, I was finally able to see the world for what It is, and now i won't think about it razz . wicca = great + freedom.
