h'OK, so maybe I just don't understand this, but this is what I get from my devotional book. Feel free to correct me wherever you see a mistake, because right now I am confused.

arrow We're not supposed to feel like we ourselves have done any great works, right? Everything we do is supposed to be just God working through us. Am I correct?
arrow And God already knows what we need before we ask for it, and he knows what he's going to do and what's going to happen, right?
arrow So....what is the point of prayer? NOW LISTEN arrow I know that prayer is important in having a healthy, growing relationship with God. But what about prayer chains? The people in the chain are not actually doing anything but asking God again to do something he already knows needs to be done. So what's the difference if one person prays or 99? Is God going to say, "Man, if you had gotten a few more people, then maybe, but 5 people just doesn't do it for me. Sorry."

From what I can see, all prayer does (as far as praying for something to happen) is give the person praying the false idea of having done something. The false feeling of having effected a change, when really it's God, and we're supposed to know that, right?

If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask
It will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered in my name,
There am I in the midst of them. -- Jesus Christ

When two or three are gathered in Christ's name in prayer of whatever the issue may be then Christ will be in the midst of them. He will answer. So think about it... if there were more than two or three gathered together in prayer such as a prayer group or circle- how great is it for the prayer to be answered? Christ works in wonderous ways. Never doubt or be confused about or over Christ/God/The Bible. For we know whom the author of confusion is. The author of confusion is also the author of death, fear, and sickness.

Also....God is strong enough and real enough to stand up to questions. As long as we really seek to understand, I don't think it will hurt us to ask when we are confused. The only thing I can see happening is that our faith could become stronger when we do come to understand.
