i wanted to ask if anyone knew how to remove ink stamps from old library books? because i might want to resell them, and i'd rather not have those pesky stamps all over them. does anyone know how? i've tried astringent and rubbing alchol, but that did nothing aside from smear the stamps that are located on the insider covers of the books.
the stamps are on the inside covers and on the sides on some.

does anyone know how i can remove them without ruining the book?

help would be appreciated.
