Someone in my German class told me that they asked someone what Dummkopf meant (if you don't know, it means 'fool,' or literally, 'dumb-head'), and the person told them it meant 'dumbass.' This got me thinking on how funny it would be if kopf actually did mean a** and how it would change some of my favorite Rammstein and Oomph! songs. For example (lyrics courtesy of herzeleid.com for Rammstein & oomph-supernova for Oomph!):

Maybe my sense of humor is just less mature than other people's, but I find this greatly amusing. What other songs am I missing (I just skimmed over the lyrics) that would have their meaning changed?

Dummkopf is one of the best German words out there. "Stupidhead!"

there are more words like dummkopf, "blödian" and "depp" for example mean the same. (so imagine how germans find the name johnny depp ^^)
and by the way ^^ i find this idea funny but what sense does it make to put a** instead of head in a rammstein song? wink
