Biff and Saikoro are standing on the balcony at Biff’s apartment sipping scotch.
Biff: Sick?
Saikoro: Max came in this morning saying Ivan was really ill… I feel bad that yesterday I finally got out of him what’s been hurting him so badly…
Biff: Chris told me that his boyfriend in high school broke his heart.
Saikoro: That’s coming from a woman envious of Kyo, Ivan’s boyfriend…
Biff: What do you mean?
Saikoro: Ivan loved Kyo… they were involved in a hit and run that broke Ivan’s neck. Kyo thought Ivan was going to die so he didn’t want to live anymore… and slit his wrists on top of the hospital roof…
Biff: No wonder Ivan is the way he is…
Saikoro: Now I wonder how Chris came into the picture…
Biff: She was there for him until she moved… then she came back and did her best to keep his spirits up.
Saikoro: How do we manage to always end up with the bleeding hearts?
Biff: Because we have them too…
Chris walks out onto the balcony.
Chris: What are you boys talking about?
Biff: What I should make for dinner.
Chris: All I know is I would kill for some cheese cake.
Saikoro: Yeah, I can see it now on the news – pregnant woman robs local bakery.
Chris: Or how about an angel thrown off a balcony?
Saikoro: Eep!
Biff: I prohibit any throwing or robbing tonight. Besides, we’re going out to eat.
Chris & Saikoro: Huh?
Biff: I don’t know what to cook so we’ll be going out.
Chris: Whoo! Cheesecake here I come!
Max pours Ivan a glass of water and hands it to him.
Max: You will be all right, won’t you big brother?
Ivan: It’s just the common cold…
Max: Maybe you should take a break from here… I know we went to Vegna for New Years but maybe some place quieter so you can relax.
Ivan: That be nice… I just don’t want to be alone…
Max: I can go with you…
Ivan: What about Biff?
Max: He’ll understand.
Chris and Saikoro stare at the last hushpuppy. Biff’s cell phone rings distracting Saikoro. Chris grabs the last hushpuppy as Biff answers the phone.
Biff: Hello?
Saikoro: I wanted that…
Chris: I got two to feed, bud.
Saikoro: Pregnant women think they deserve everything.
Chris: Well we do.
Biff: Shhh, I’m on the phone with Max.
Chris: Oops, sorry Biff.
Saikoro: Hey, I think the dessert cart is coming.
Chris: Cheesecake!
Chris and Saikoro start to grab plates off the dessert cart and start to stuff their faces. Biff gets off the phone with a frown on his face. He then sees Chris and Saikoro bloated, he gets a sweat drop.
Biff: Did you guys just eat the whole dessert cart?
Chris: Mhmm.
Saikoro: I love sweets.
Chris: So what Max call about?
Biff: He said Ivan needs a little R&R so they’re going to be gone for a few weeks.
Chris: Oh…
Biff: Yeah… hey! Who ate the last hushpuppy!
Saikoro: Not me.
Chris: Scarlet needs her nutrient.
Biff: But I’m paying…
The next day Alice is wiping down the bar when Saikoro walks in.
Alice: Here again? What are you, the new secretary?
Saikoro: Ivan went on vacation with Max so I’ll be looking after things here.
Alice: Well… that’s interesting.
Saikoro: Don’t worry, I won’t bite.
Biff finishes setting up the crib; Chris holds the pink bunny Max gave her.
Chris: It’s so weird… to bring life into this world…
Biff: Weird?
Chris: I never expected to be a mom…
Biff: I’m sure there’s a lot of things you don’t expect that happen.
Chris: Yeah… oh, what time is it? We can watch Jenny Ray today on the food channel.
Biff: So I can make you more sweets?
Chris: Mhmm.
A montage is shown of Alice serving customers, Saikoro working on the computer in Ivan’s office, Chris looking at herself in the mirror and lifting up her breasts, Ivan sleeping in a hammock outside, and Max and Biff talking on the phone. Biff gets off the phone and walks in on Chris.
Biff: Umm… what are you doing?
Chris: Groping myself… gawd, these are huge.
Biff: I’m sure you’ll have fun breast-feeding.
Chris: I hope it doesn’t hurt… hey; do we have any ice cream left?
Biff: We killed it last night.
Chris: Damn!
Biff: You want me to go get some more?
Chris: Please and thank-you.
Saikoro comes down from the office, Alice yawns.
Saikoro: Working hard?
Alice: Here? No. At home with Oliver? Yes.
Saikoro: Hmm… how about a date then? Just for fun.
Alice: I don’t really have any free days and someone would have to watch Oliver.
Saikoro: I can arrange something.
Biff is checking out at the corner store when his cell phone rings.
Biff: Dolly?
Chris is lying on the couch when Biff walks in.
Chris: Got the ice cream?
Biff: Yeah… Chris I have to leave to Dolly’s… right now.
Chris: Oh gosh, is she all right?
Biff: No… I’m just worried about when you’ll be going into labor.
Chris: Scarlet isn’t due for another two weeks, go. Your sister needs you.
Biff: If anything comes up there’s a list of contacts on the fridge.
Chris: All right, be safe.
The clouds above Camdene grow darker; Max looks outside at the cabin him and Ivan are staying at.
Max: It looks like a big storm is brewing up…
Ivan (Inside): Max! Where’s the cheese wiz?
Max: Coming!
Biff arrives at Dolly’s and hugs her. Dolly sobs.
Dolly: They broke in and stole her Biff… why would someone kidnap Darien?
Biff: I don’t know Dolly but I’ll get her back. I’ll leave as soon as Kim gets here.
Dolly: Kim?
Biff: She’s one of our agents; she’ll protect you and the children.
Pip runs outside of the house.
Pip: Dolly! There’s a really bad storm covering like the whole nation!
Dolly: Hm?
Pip: Something whack with the witches!
Biff: This isn’t good… this area is prone to snow.
Dolly: Oh Darien…
Kim: What’s all the boohooing about?
Biff: Kim! Where did you come from?
Kim: Ponta was being a bad girl so I landed behind the place.
Pip: Whose Ponta?
Kim: My feathered dragon.
Pip: Cool!
Biff: Well now that you’re here Kim, I’ll be on my way.
Kim: Be careful, this massive storm is going to affect a lot of variables.
Biff: I know, but I have to get my niece back. And Dolly, make sure everyone listens to Kim.
Dolly: Okay, good luck Biff.
Oliver sits in front of the TV; Alice gets home and kicks off her shoes.
Alice: I’m home Oliver, have fun at school?
Oliver: Mom, we’re all going to die.
Alice: Huh?
Oliver: The five witches and warlocks have gone mad and are going to kill us all with one giant storm.
Alice: What!
Oliver: Oh wait… the elves just showed up… aww, they’re the nobodies.
Alice: Are you watching another natural disaster movie?
Oliver: Nope, the news.
Kim lets the kids play on Ponta while she talks to Dolly outside of the orphanage.
Dolly: I’m just so worried…
Kim: Ah, it was about time those witches snapped.
Dolly: I was actually talking about Darien…
Kim: Oh! Well, if Biff knows the scent he can generally track the person down. And don’t worry about here; Ponta will protect this place with all her might. She loves children.
Chris walks out of the apartment to see Raine and Shaylee running down the stairs dressed in their battle costumes. Kendra runs out the door.
Chris: What’s going on?
Kendra: You haven’t been watching the news? The five witches and warlocks have put the whole continent in danger. Shrine Master Lily has sent us out to help defend the continent.
Chris: Oh… good luck.
Chris goes back into the apartment and on to the balcony. Chujow in dragon form flies off with Kendra, Shaylee, and Raine on his back. Chris sighs.
Chris: I guess when you have extraordinary magic there’s no such thing as an ordinary life… Why couldn’t I be gifted?
A blank computer screen is shown; the text comes up in lime green reading “Everyone is gifted…” Biff stands outside a gate looking at his watch. “In there own special way…” An explosion goes off; Kendra casts a water spell on a battle field. “Wheatear it is magic…” Raine rides on top of Chujow being chased by another dragon; Shaylee hits the dragon with a blast of green light. “Or skill…” Biff fires his gun at a few guards. “Or the ability to bring life into this world…” Chris sits on the couch reading a magazine. “And the ability to take it…” Biff kills that last man with a head shot.
Biff: Darien’s not here… she can’t be too far though.
Oliver sits in front of the TV; Alice walks into the room.
Alice: I never knew a second grader would be addicted to the news…
Oliver: I was just watching these girls kick butt… I think I’ve seen them before…
Alice: Hm?
Alice looks at the TV screen and sees Raine riding Chujow.
Alice: Yeah… those are Biff’s neighbors… we met them at Chris’ baby shower.
Oliver: Cool! I didn’t know they could battle.
Alice: Me either… anyway Oliver, you’re going to Harvey and Tyson’s.
Oliver: How come?
Alice: Sir Saikoro is taking me out to dinner.
Oliver: Isn’t he kind of old, Mom?
Alice: Not like that you little punk!
Oliver grins. At the cabin grounds lightning strikes as thunder rumbles. The rain pounds on the roof. Max gets off the phone.
Max: Our flight’s been canceled Ivan…
Ivan: Figures… scared?
Max: You know I don’t like thunder storms…
Ivan: Hm… I’ll play Laissez Faire with you.
Max: Okay!
Oliver swings his legs sitting on a chair at Harvey and Tyson’s house.
Tyson: What do you mean you didn’t buy groceries?
Harvey: Well… there was a sale at the music store and I umm, bought my entire list of CDs I’ve been wanting.
Tyson: Oh god grief! We have to go to the store Harvey… guess we won’t be paying the phone bill again…
Harvey: Since we’re going to the grocery store in that direction can we also stop by Ralph’s Playhouse for dinner?
Oliver: Ralph’s Playhouse? We’re going there!
Harvey: If Tyson will let us…
Tyson: Darn you… okay, we’ll go and then hit the grocery store.
Harvey & Oliver: Hooray!
Chris hangs up the phone and sighs.
Chris: Dang, no one’s even home to talk too… I’m so bored…
Lightning flashes outside and thunder roars. The lights flicker in the apartment then go out. The sound of rain is heard, pounding outside. Chris lights a candle that was sitting on the coffee table.
Chris: I’m glad he likes to burn candles… No power… this isn’t good.
Snow piles up against the orphanage. Ponta sleeps on the backside of the house trying to avoid the freeing wind. Dolly had the children bundled up together in blankets; Kim hands Dolly a mug of coffee.
Kim: He’s going to get Darien back…
Dolly: I’m just so worried about the both of them…
Biff sniffs the air when the first snowflakes hits his nose. Suddenly, snow begins to drastically fall.
Biff: This must be the work of those witches…
Alice bites her finger nails as the restaurant’s back up lights come on. Saikoro puts his hand on Alice’s other hand.
Saikoro: Oliver is going to be okay.
Alice: But my baby… he’s the one who always comforts me during storms…
Saikoro: Huh?
Alice: Yes, I’m scared of storms and it’s my son who takes care of me during them…
Tyson taps her fingers on the table at Ralph’s Playhouse as Oliver sips a coke. Harvey chases a man dressed in a rat costume.
Oliver: I wonder how my mom is doing…
Tyson: I’m sure Saikoro will take good care of her.
Oliver: Hope he doesn’t mind her panic attacks…
Max rolls the dice and moves his piece on the game board.
Max: I wonder what Biff’s doing…
Ivan: I’m more concerned with Chris…
Max: I thought Chris said she liked storms…
Ivan: Not to sure about the baby though.
Chris walks into the kitchen holding a candle; she looks at the floor.
Chris: Where is this water coming from?
Kendra, Shaylee, and Raine gather around with Chujow hovering over them.
Raine: Where is she Kendra?
Kendra: I don’t know but we need help!
Biff walks into an abandoned mansion; his nose twitches. Out of the corner of his eye he sees long hair flow by in one of the halls. Biff’s ears twitch and he walks stealthy don the hall. He goes into a room and aims his gun; in front of him is Minna Zea with a flare ball formed in your hand.
Biff: Minna J Zea?
Minna: AKA Lead singer for Wild Wingz AKA Wind Elf but best known as Mahou’s Strongest. State your business or I will execute you, fox.
Biff: Darien Foxer, she’s my niece and was kidnapped. I’m trying to rescue her.
Minna snaps her fingers and puts her hands together.
Minna: Excellent! We’re on the same mission.
Biff: Huh?
Minna: Instead of being hasty and jumping into some unknown fight with these nobodies I did some research on underground current events. Darien Foxer was noted as one of the newest puppet masters – she was kidnapped and is now being manipulated to control the five witches and warlocks.
Biff: And your source?
Minna: Darling, I’m the Wind Elf. My current events are carried by the wind – not television, radio, or internet. Now come on, we got to get your niece. A dear like her must be scared.
Darien sits in a chair staring out a window. She sketches in a notebook while staring. Minna blasts three guards with a freeze ball while Biff follows behind her.
Biff: After meeting you in person at Flaming Snowball I would have had no idea you could do all this.
Minna: There’s a time and place for everything; when there’s a child in danger all hell’s fury goes loose with me. I suppose I would have never expected you working for the government though.
Biff: Part of being a secret agent man.
Minna: Duck.
Minna and Biff both duck as a steel pipe goes flying over their heads; Minna clutches the floor of the building.
Minna: MAGMA BURST!
The hall way catches is burnt to a black crisp; Minna bursts through a door. Darien drops her sketch book.
Biff: Darien?
Darien smiles and runs over to Biff, hugging him. Minna looks around the room.
Minna: So where’s the phantom behind this?
Darien points to her sketch book on the floor and Minna picks it up. She studies it and whistles.
Minna: Come on, we’re not done.
A dragon just like Chujow stops at the window with Goukai on his back. Darien walks over to Minna and gets picked up. Minna hands Darien to Goukai and Darien hugs him.
Minna: Take good care of her, she’s Biff’s niece.
Goukai: I’ll make sure she gets home. Come on Muashey.
Before Biff can open his mouth, Muashey the dragon flies off. Minna takes Biff’s hand.
Minna: I need your help, she drew this to where only animal genre can understand and that’s one transformation I have not learned.
Biff: Is he going to protect her?
Minna: He’ll die for her. But I really don’t want to loose a husband so if you could please read her sketch.
Biff: Okay…
Biff picks up the sketch book, he gets a sweat drop.
Biff: This looks like scribbles.
Minna: Focus.
Biff looks harder at the picture; his eyes turn a darker yellow and he shakes his head.
Biff: The basement of the bottom of this building… but wait… she says the witches and warlocks are already lost… and her powers have been copied…
Minna: Well if that’s the case… we won’t even need to go down there… I know who is capable of that and the rescue mission is now compromised… Have you ever witnessed one of the most powerful spells in Mahou?
Biff: Not really into that much magic…
Minna: Tragedy… I’ll have to protect you from the blast though. Azul Proto!
Biff gets stuck into a bubble and floats up into the air. Minna flies up with him and focuses her hands on the abandoned mansion. The sky goes dark and Minna glows a crimson red.
Minna: Here my call death, I pledge myself to you, to the nightmares, to the unknown. I take your great pain and sorrow and thus be worthy of your grand fortitude. Grant me your valor and destroy the ones before you and I – SHINIGAMI!
Everything goes white; the abandoned mansion and surrounding forest is gone. Minna lowers herself to the ground and sighs. The bubble Biff is in lowers to the ground then pops. Minna looks up at the clear night sky and smiles.
Minna: Beautiful…
Biff: That was… unbelievable.
Minna: When I first used that spell… my son almost died. The people caught in the blast are trapped in an eternal hell, forever to be tortured. I sometimes wonder why I dare use it…
Biff: Too possess so much power…
Minna: That’s nothing compared to being able to bring life into this world…
Biff: That reminds me of Chris…
Minna: Last name?
Biff: Marlous.
A cloud of smoke appears around Minna and she turns into the Princess of Dreams. She’s looking through a giant book.
Minna: Amazing what elves get gifted with… aha. Chris Marlous. She just went into labor.
Biff: What!
Minna: Her water broke… all over your apartment.
Biff: Eww…
Minna: Need a lift to the hospital?
Biff: Yeah… I’m just worried about my sister and Darien.
Minna: Knowing Goukai, he’s probably entertaining the children.
Biff: I bet he’s not dressed as a scuba diver.
Minna: Yeah, probably something better.
Goukai walks into the living room covered in newspaper; Dolly gets a sweat drop.
Dolly: Homeless man?
Goukai: Human Piñata!
Pip: Beat him with sticks!
Darien grins taking out a stick. Minna takes focus on the sky and a giant tear opens up in the atmosphere.
Minna: Just jump in and follow me.
Biff: Okay…
In the warp; Minna files her nails. Biff looks around.
Biff: This is the most magical experience I’ve had in my entire life time…
Minna: I know, I should open a theme park… spend the day with me, Minna Zea… I’m sure my kids would be jealous.
Biff: Heh, kids… I can’t believe Chris is having her baby! I can’t believe I’m not there for her.
Minna: Well now… if you really want a put a smile on her face…
Biff: Hm?
Minna and Biff in scrub uniforms burst into the operating room where Chris is in labor.
Doctor: Who the hell are you two!
Minna: Minna J Zea of the Wild Wingz!
Biff: And Biff Foxer.
Chris: Biff? ********: We got a baby to deliver!
The clock outside the operating room keeps ticking. Minna holds Scarlet, the new born baby.
Minna: Oh my god! I did it! I delivered a baby!
Minna smiles and looks down at Scarlet, she blinks.
Minna: OH MY GOD! THIS BABY HAS RABBIT EARS!
