Well, it finally happened. I went the last eight months without getting any stretch marks from my pregnancy, but it seems that my poor skin has finally given up. I know there are lotions for this sort of thing, but I would prefer making my own. I know the basics for lotions, but I need to know what the active ingredient for healing stretch marks is. Does anyone have any ideas?

Well... there isn't one. ^^;
Stretch marks are scars caused by the skin "snapping", and the elasticity giving out. Cocoa butter helps keep them from forming anymore, and of course comfrey and such to encourage regrowth, but by this point the damage is done. *will throw a bar of her ointment in the sage bag* It's got comfrey and calendula and beeswax and oil, all to help heal the scars. (I actually made it for healing scars in dialysis patients.)
