On Monday, my boss-manager-supervisor-overlord came in and said that everyone was getting too dependent on our various CAD programs. She gave us these basic chip schemes and circuits and told us to start drawing by hand and that this was a technical ability examination. I finished all the 'assignments' promptly but argued the entire way through. Finally, she loses it and fires me. I go and have a chat with her supervisor (who I happen to be friends with, as we are on the same chess club-team) and guess what? She gets demoted to lower development (for making such a stupid decision on her own and, in turn, putting our lastest project on hold) and I get to take her place (for taking action and rectifying the situation)!
