The only ones I've seen in person in a real theatre or whatever, are Wicked and Cats, and I loved them both. I saw the movie for Phantom of the Opera, and I loved it, but I really want to see it in person because they always seem so much more alive like that. I love love love Broadway.

The types of dance i know are useless in Cats for the part i wanted. I am a tap dancer, but the character i was after was more modern then anything...

i'm very fond of musicals, i starred as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar last year in college.

i adore RENT, though it makes me hurt. it's sort of how me and my buddies lives went..

as for Les Miserables, i will kill anyone who says it is not good. domokun

Wow! That sounds amazing! You have very good taste in Musicals. Though I recomend Miss Saigon to all Les Mis lovers.

I love both musicals and opera. In high school, I was usually on crew, but I was lucky enough to be an extra in our production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

Yaaaay! I was on crew once...but they took me off because I couldn't handle it. I was in charge of lighting and the lightboard shorted out while i was on duty and I didnt know how to set up the other so the whole stage went dark....everyone was so angry with me... crying

Oh dear. I never had to deal with the lights, I was usually on props or running crew.

Someone gave my dad three tickets to see the brisbane symphonic orchestra. He didn't want to get so he gave it to me. Never heard the orchestra so I thought I'd be open minded and take a two friends (try convincing your friends to spend their friday nights at the orchestra!). Have to say the music was great for the first 10 minutes but after that... wahmbulance

Wait a minute, wrong thread... meh.

That's ok.

I have to agree with you. Orchestras alone get boring quickly, My interest is only kept with a vocalist.
