Okay, here's something I thought would be fun!
Fairy tales and fables are fun to write, and can be expanded later into a full-blown plot if you so fancy!
Here's a place to write your own fairy tale, and maybe pick up a little inspiration, meow!

What is a Fairy Tale?Wikipedia A fairy tale is a story featuring folkloric characters such as fairies, goblins, elves, trolls, giants, talking animals and others. The fairy tale is a sub-class of the folktale. These stories often involve royalty, and modern versions usually have a happy ending. For more information on the folkloric aspects of a fairy tale, see the wiki entry! For our purposes, we're just going to have concise, short stories - no more then ten or twelve paragraphs. You can pretty much do what you wish, this is really just a writing practice. K.I.S.S! Don't go into too much detail, and don't use too many literary techniques - you're dumbing down your writing. Most important, have fun with it!

Examples: confusedangelfalling Once upon a time, there was a princess. Her true love was a knight. They often sunk out at night and met in the garden so they could be together. On day, the King caught them together. He was very upset. He sent the knight off to fight in a war so he couldn't be with the princess. The princess waited and waited for her knight to return to her, so she could finally tell him how she really felt. But he never came back. The King had killed the knight when he returned and the princess never found out. The king kept this secret until the day his was murdered. The Princess lived her whole life, waiting for her true love to come for her. When she was kidnapped two years later, she told her kidnappers that her knight would come save her. They laughed and killed her the next day. The princess now haunts the castle, waiting for her knight. Never giving up hope that he would return, she she could tell him she loves him. By, Gabby When you have strong feelings for someone, tell them. You'll never know when they'll leave you forever. accetysalicyclic Once there was a girl who had the one she loved for tea. While the girl was sipping her tea, her love got up and put his napkin on the table, and walked off. The girl wondered why he had left her without saying anything, and why he had just gotten up and left the tea. The sadness hurt her so much that she died. The one she loved came back from the bathroom and found her dead, and was sad because she had bled all over the pretty tablecloth. Moral: Don't overanalyze. I'll probably add more as I see some good ones pop up, meow ^_^;

Once upon a time, there was a little girl.
This girl dreamed of being in a fairytale filled with princes and princesses and happily ever afters.
She became so obsessed with the idea, that one day she went searching for her fairy tale. She traveled far and wide across mountains and oceans and deserts. Still, nothing could be found of her fairy tale. A stubborn and naive girl, she continued on and on for years until she was too old to walk anymore.
It wasn't long before she died, lying in the middle of the forest as old, unhappy, and alone as ever.
The fairies of the forest just laughed...
Moral: There's no such things as happy endings.
