A pure white snowflake fluttered down from the sky, softly laying on the nose of a sleeping Epona. He was dark in color with flashes of blue everywhere and had silver hair.Only you couldnt see this because everything but his face was buried in snow. He was Equinox.
Equinox felt something funny land on his nose. It tickled. He twitched his nostrils and blew out some hair through them, releasing a jet of clouds since it was so cold. This action had the desired effect. The snowflake flew off and floated away. Equinox gentle blue eyes watched it silently as it made its dance across the sky and back onto the ground a few feet away. I should get up he tought silently to himself. But it was warm being buried in the snow like this. Well warmer then it would be standing up i the cold wind, with nothing to cover you. He hesitated for a minute then slowly rose up. Displacing all the snow on and around him. He then shook himself. Flashes of black, blue and silver blured the scene accompanied by a spray of snow as Equinox shook himself clean. He shivvered with is contact with the air and broke into a run trying to warm himself up. He dashed past trees and snow hills, weaving his way here an there. ot only was it fun. It was waking him up and making him warmer. He dashed into a clearing and closed his eyes, enjoying this freedom. He opened his eyes ony to be greeted with something brighty colored approaching fast. He didnt want to run into it so he skidded to a stop right before he was about to collide into it. Doing so covering whatever it was with snow.

Makarios raced through the think winter snow. She didn't know where she was going, it was as if her feet were guiding her to her fate. She was thinking to herself about all the friends she didn't have and all the people that hated her. But these thoughts were cute off when a huge splash of snow was flung at her. She quickly stoped and began to shake the snow off her brightly colored pelt. Flaping her wings a few times shook the last of the snow off. Then looking up infront of her was a beautiful male epona. She quickly blushed trying to hide her wings, but then she noticed that he had wings too! With out much thought she bursted out talking. "Hi I am Makarios! You can call me Rio if you want, that's what all my friends call me, well that's what my old friends called me... they kinda left. But oh well! Whats your name? I really like your wings."

Equinox, a little bit startled by the brightly colored epona Just started at The girl for a moment. Then shook his head dazed by all the colors, jolting himself back into reality. "Whoa. sorry bout that" He shifted paws uncomfortably since they hurt from skidding to a stop. He winced a little but tryied to hind it. He smiled weakly when she introduced herself, a little overwehlmed by her talkativeness. "Nice to meet you Rio. Im Equinox....Quin for short." He looked at her with concern. She was talkative but she seemed sorta down "Hey...are you alright?" He asked

Mara watched him shift his paws. Oh no! He's gonna leave too! "Quin huh? Quin's a nice name!" She said smiling. Then she looked down at her paws when he asked if she was okay. "Um, well ya, kinda... well see I finally found my friends Mara and Kaylin, but they were with these 3 others who didn't like me so I just kinda let them go off and have fun with out me. Noone likes how hyper I am except Mara, Kaylin deals with it though." She said kinda smiling and playinw with the snow with her paws. "Are you okay? I don't know why I am asking it is just that I normally ask people if they are okay if I am not feeling okay, so since you asked me if I was okay I am guessing your not okay if that makes any since." She said tripping over her tounge and giggling. "Too many 'okays' for me in once setence.

Quin paused for a moment. Trying to absorb all that information. wow she's a fast talker he taught, getting a headache from hearing all that. "well......uh....." he was unsure what to say, he glanced nervusly to the side wondering what to say "I'm.....um..sorry to hear that." He wasnt that good of a conversationalist. He looked down at his paws an shifted uncomfortably again "Im fine, just a little snow burn." He chuckled softly as he lifted his paw for Rio to see. It was kinda red underneath

"Ouch that ought to hurt" She said looking at his paw. Then she looked down to the side. "I'll stop talking, when I talk I scare people, I don't want to scare you away." She quickly glanced up at Quin then back down to her side. "I do really like your wings... mine arn't all that great." She looked back at hers and gave them a few flaps.

Quin looked at Rio concern filling his eyes. She seemed to be pretty nice. Sure a little talkative, but nice. He thought for a moment about what to say. He wanted to be careful and not hurt her feelings. "Nah...Ive seen and heard scarier things then you. You dont scare me away...." He trailed off and looked at the ground "....I dont hang out with Epona much....never got around to meeting any cept my Sister Elle. You sorta remind me of her, so i feel at home." He flapped his wings a few times "Yeah thx. I love my wings ...your arent s bad....but mine are better" He stuck his tongue out at her trying to lighten up the mood.

Rio watched him flap his wings. Wow, I wish mine were-- "Better?" She asked questioningly. Well they are but stilll... "Better!?" This time luaghing. Then she carfuly pushed Quin into the snow. "Now who is better?" She asked standing with her front paws atop the male Epona Luaghing as she played.

Quin, hitting the ground, yells out "hey!" then laughs as she tackles him "Ok your better, your better!" he said, trying to get out from under her he rolls over and jumps back onto his feet and shakes himself, getting rid of the snow

Giggling lightly she looks up at Quin. "Your nice Quin." Shaking her head so that it is flipping her hair. "Normally other Epona would have been trying to get rid of me by now." Raising her paw she licks it. "I like you Quin, I really do!" She says smiling.

Quin blushed. Not knowing what to say. She was really sweet. He couldnt see why others wanted to get rid of her so bad. He liked being around her. He was used to Epona like her. He looked down and cleared his throat "heh......Thanks..." he blushed some more, looking at the ground "Your not so bad yourself" he said smileing up at her.

Tying to think of something to break the aquridness [sp?] she jumped up poked him and yelled "Tag!" Quicky she started running, flining snow behind her. She was happy that he felt the same way, yet embaressed at the same time.

" Hey!.......wait up." Quin yelled after her as he broke out into a run, chasing her. He was having a fun time. He caught up with her and headbutted her tail, seeing the rainbow of colors swish around.

Giggling Rio ran. Then after being head butted she droped down into the snow. "This is fun don't ya think?" She asked, her eyes full of happyness. Rio really did like Quin, he didn't judge her before he actully got to meet her. And yes she really liked him for that.

[Quin laughed at her as she dropped into the snow. " Yes this is fun!" he agreed, as he flung some snow at her. He wa genuenly having a blast. "Hey..your a strange one" he stuck his tongue out at this "But im glad i met you" he nodded his head in emphasis
