People start speaking your language(the language of your culture) but they can't pronounce anything right?! Or they keep saying it in like... a CHINESE accent or something?!

My so called friend tortures me everyday with a SINGLE phrase.
"Chot-to-ma-te"
NOT
"Chat-toe-mattay*
It means "wait a minute" or "hold on a sec" in Japanese.
She doesn't even say it at the right times. She be walking next to be babbling on about nothing and all of the sudden say "CHAT TOE MATTAY"
I sometimes call her baka in reply, but then she'll go on for the rest of the day saying baka with a chinese accent. It really pisses me off, I'm not trying to be evil or mean. And this could never be directed at any of you.
I'm just expressing myself because that certain somebody is talking to me and AIM saying all those little phrases for no reason. She's my fake little sister (And I'm really fed up with all these fake sibling losers. They're not my real siblings for a reason! GAWD!) She called me "oniichan" the other day which means big brother. stare Do I look like a man to you?!
Pancakes here, calls me Mika-neechan and that's totally fine since she's actually RELATED TO ME and she understands and pronounces most Japanese things well. But... (Psst, "Watashi wa baka" is not a complete sentence.) And it DOES make you seem stupid when you can't speak in full sentences. Singles words are fine, but half of a sentence gets on my nerves sometimes. That's just for future reference. My Pancakes here read manga (as do my Chinese friends who annoy me with phrases all day), but she also listens to J-music and she studies phrase books and has a lot more knowledge on my culture. Now this is not directed at anyone, so please don't take it as an insult or anything of the sort. But... I HATE LITTLE JAPANESE WANNA-BES!!!!!
Maybe there's a reason why you're not full or even part Japanese. I know I just insulted the other half of my culture as I am also half Chinese. But like.. yeah. I just get annoyed easily by things like these. Especially if it happens every single day of my life! >.< And I also hate this other girl, she's half white and half Japanese. She looks totally white, but her last name is Japanese. But she knows like NOTHING about real Japanese people. She just brags about being Japanese. And yeah, I know I probably just insulted my boyfriend as he's white.

I should shut up now. I'm studying the Declaration of Independence. "All men are created equal" Though I am not a man... XDDD See, I got my sense of humor back! And if there are any typos in this uberlylongpost, I don't care. I have just wasted a few minutes of your life. Thank you and goodbye.

Umm, can't say that's happened before...but people will always tell me a horribly mispronounced phrase in Chinese and ask me what it means...pretty annoying after a while

*Nod, nod.* I know what you mean. Every once and a while it might be fun to slip into a different language, like when writing in down in a fan-fic so that no one will know that you pronounce it wrong in real life, but like around other peoples and stuff...Yeah. I try not to say anything in Japanese if I'm not 100% sure what it means, and 100% sure I can say it right. So, I don't really ever say anything in Japanese or Chinese or anything other than English. Plus, whenever I hear someone "white" saying stuff in Japanese, it sounds too wannabeish. .___.

I -can- speak latin, though! A new favorite quote of mine, "Videbis! Videbitis!" It means, "You'll see! You'll ALL see!" =D And then, "Vide! Vide!" "See! See!" xD I'm teh hip', yos'. *Makes 'Wall-Mart' gang symbol.* Chaw.

I wanna learn Gaelic, but I have no Irish accent, what-so-ever. Like, not at all. It took me until I was 13 or so to pronounce my real name with the Irish accent and all. >.<;; I still don't think I can say it right, but meh mommy says it's all in meh head. *Shrug.* Oh well.

heh heh...dave called me a japanese wanna-be before...it was pretty funny.. and your "friend" is much like brigiotte and annie...although...i can kinda put up with brigiotte...she's not as bad as annie..WHO IS ASIAN...and still says "neck-o" and "kit-soon" which really makes me mad.....and then i ignore her, but sometimes i slip in a "anata wa baka desu" before i turn around and walk away...she's actually going to try to cosplay as SAKURA FROM CCS. and it pisses me off because 1) she's actually BIGGER than me...which is an accomplishment...because i'm pretty big... and 2) she picked the skimpiest outfit and she watches the frikkin' Nelvana dub of CCS which is totally inaccurate, though...she thinks it was made in Japan just the way it is...and i got mad and ignored her for a while..

EDIT: she also says "dye-soo-kay" when she reads DNAngel...and it pisses me off so much because she said her sister, "who takes Japanese" told her it was pronounced that way, but i talked to her sister and she doesn't even take Japanese...if there is one thing i hate more than jerks, it has to be fangirls.

I don't get why people think being Japanese is so cool.
We're all human beings! It doesn't matter what race we are!
People come up to me every once and awhile saying "You're Japanese?! OMG that's to cool! I wish I was Japanese! Anime is so cool! The Japanese are to awesome!!!!" And I'm thinking "Where did YOU come from? Get away from me, you freak. Stupid Japanese wanna-be."
And yup... and glad to see that I'm not the only one who thinks this. 3nodding

I'm half Chinese, but most Asians in the school don't really consider me to be Asian v.v Sometimes people say, "Oh! You're Chinese, right? Can you say something in Chinese?" And I don't know what to say, and I don't really want to do it, but they're just like "Just say something!" That just sorta bothers me, yet it doesn't happen so much now.
Well, and sometimes they don't know that I'm only half, other times they don't know that I'm Asian at all. xP

i hate when racist old people give me dirty looks while i'm biking and say "go back to china"

...yes, people actually say that to me IN ALAMEDA

it really pisses me off..

and i just remembered that mikachu and i are part hawaiian because of our grandmother...but now when people ask me "what are you?" i say i'm chinese and hawaiian, and the person asks "oh, can you surf?" or "hey, say something in chinese." i have to say no about surfing and i have to admit that i can't speak chinese...and then they call me a liar...stupid stereotyping!

they still think it's so cool to be hawaiian...and i don't really care that i'm hawaiian...doesn't exactly matter. not to me [ and obviously you guys ] anyways.. i wish people would stop doing things like labeling..it's really no fun..

and all of my friends are FOBs [sorry guys] so, when their parents are talking in chinese and i don't understand, and the parent makes a joke, i feel so left out..because everyone gets it and i don't even know what the joke was...

sometimes i really wish i could speak chinese...thanks for letting me use your phrase books, mikachu!

much love.

EDIT: keeheehee...sophie's my honorary asian. >.< i think she's the most AZN of the AZN crew! she can actually say things right in japanese, she did a REALLY GOOD cosplay for the Otis Carnival, and she like me! she eats ramen and drinks tea while checking gaia in one window and watching japanese animes with subs in the other! it's pretty funny, but she likes to bother me by acting like annie all the time..she runs up to me, put her face REALLY close to mine, waves her hands ecstatically and says " LINDSAYLINDSAYLINDSAY! KOHNEECHEEWAAAAAAAAAAH!! LOOK AT ME!!! IN MY KEEEEEYOH HAT!! I AM A KUHWUH-EE NECKO!" and then she spits some horribly mangled word at me, just like annie does. i give her a funny look and then run away...and then i come back and throw food at her. she usually does that to me when i'm pissed off or sad-looking..haha..
if i'm REALLY sad, she'll say "lindsayyyyyy...don't pull a cloud on me!! stop groucing over that big-boobed thing with no face named tifa!!!! she's not worrrrrth iiittt!!! she's just a body with really big BOOOBSS!!!!"and then i usually stop being emo and get...more talkative. i love sophie.

My social studies teacher (yes, that one with the CHINESE accent) was speaking Japanese in class the other day.
She said Konbonwa and some other phrase. She she said 'good evening' and 'have you eaten?'
I was like... the only one who understood, and she was like "ooh! some people understand! did i say it right?"

((Yes, I noticed that I'm losing my proper grammer and spelling... it's just one of those slow days...))

oh noes! that's not good..

Well.......

If you think about it, people are trying to learn Japanese because they enjoy it and admire it. My opinion is you should try to help them learn, not get mad at their lame pronounciations. Japan is a very rich country currently, and Japanese entertainment is VERY popular. (You all know what I'm talking about. xd ) Anyways, try not to think of it in a negative way...

But that's just my opinion. :O

No, they are not trying to learn the language at all.
They purposely annoy me with the same phrase, that they know EXACTLY what it means and that they're saying it WRONG!
Eviiiillllll!! And they only say Japanese stuff to me, nobody else ever says anything about mispronounced phrases and things.
All those Japanese wanna-bes... What's so special about being Japanese anyhoo? Like... does it really matter what culture or race we all are or the color of our skin or where we once lived?! NOOO! Why can't we just say "Hey! You're American, I'm American! Let's be friends and not care what our acendents did years ago! That was THEN this is NOW!"
I gotta point don't I? ninja

You do. But people think it's cool to hear others speak in another language. I personally find it interesting and I've never heard someone speak Chinese or Japanese. In fact, the high school I attended didn't even teach Japanese or Chinese it only taught Spanish or French. Which stunk.

I think I'm going to take a latin class just to learn how we tend to come up with the scientific words since there based of latin words and stuff. I'm not really into the anime thing, though, my sister loves it.
