I don't use weapons during my matches because useing them will alter the match. For example if u have 75% and your enemy have 150% but they have a homerun bat in there hands. All they need to do is just hit u with it and ur gone from the map. Another example would be if u have less damage then ur enemy and a bunch of bob-ombs land on the ground next to u right. It only take them a few seconds to get moveing and if u make one single mustake ur a** is gone.
In short weapons alter matches. wink PERIOD!!! scream

the only weapon i use is pokeballs on high drop rate >< that adds a ton of fun to the game xD

I alternate between having them and not having them--and like the example, I really don't enjoy my enemies having bats. stressed

Sometimes I'll have the occasional metal box but otherwise I avoid them. It often feels cheap to use items.

I only turn off the hammer myself, if i'm playing at my friends' places we usually turn them all off...

I usually don't use weapons unless they randomly show up, like with Peach's turnips I sometimes get a Mr. Saturn or a Beam Sword, so I'm like "Why not?" and smash with 'em until I get bored and throw 'em away.

It all depends on the match really, and how people who are playing want to play.
