Have you ever searched the web for a good piece of Phantom of the Opera fanfiction, but haven't been able to find any?

I know I have, and I think it would be a good idea if we were to list exceptional Phantom of the Opera fanfiction in the guild.

I tend to go for lengthy Fanfictions that are teen and above, so my favorites will be in that category. However, if you would like to add a one shot or story to the list (perhaps even your own), feel free to PM me with the link and I shall add it.

Application Form for Submitting a Fanfiction:
Name of Fanfiction:
Author:
Genre:
Web Address of Fanfiction:
Rating:
Pairing(s):
Completed: (Yes/No)
Multichaptered: (Yes/No)
If yes, how many chapters?
Warnings: (Such as bashing of any character, sex, rape, violence, language, etc.)

Happy Reading!

Multi-Chaptered Stories

Demons
Author: Wandering Child
Genre: Romance/Drama
Web Address: Demons
Rating: Mature
Pairing(s): Erik/Christine
Completed: Yes
Chapters: 38
Warnings: Sex, character death, violence, language, alcohol references.
Summary: HE was nearly dead when he left the Paris Opera. Abandoned by love, Erik vows to erase his soul and begin life anew. SHE was nearly dead when they found her. Broken and alone, Christine will find that sometimes, love and fate will not be denied.

The Last First Kiss
Author: Wandering Child
Genre: Romance/Angst
Web Address: The Last First Kiss
Rating: Mature
Pairing(s): Erik/Amanda; eventual Erik/Christine; Thanatos/Michael (Greek mythology)
Completed: No
Chapters: 30 (as of 11/7)
Warnings: Sex, language, alcohol references.
Summary: Years later, Christine is on a bitter deathbed. Striking a bargain with Death, she is returned to 1881, hoping to correct the mistakes of her past. It isn't long however before the gilded mirrors of Paris reveal the price of Death's assistance...

Evergreen
Author: Nade-Naberrie
Genre: Romance/Drama
Web Address: Evergreen
Rating: Mature
Pairing(s): Eventual Erik/Christine; Raoul/Christine; Raoul/Emily
Completed: No
Chapters: 54 (as of 11/7)
Warnings: Sex, language, minor character prostitution, suicide attempt.
Summary: When Christine's world crumbles around her, she turns to her old mentor and friend for comfort. But will her Angel of Music still be waiting with open arms?
Note: While the main pairing itself was a bit unrealistic in the beginning, it gets very good later on. Also, this is the one story that actually made me 1. like a made-up character (who was a prostitute, no less) and 2. made me feel sympathy and, dare I say it, side with Raoul when he has the advantage (at the time). It might even change all of you hard-core Raoul haters perspective (or, at least, in this story).

A Solo for the Living
Author: Tango1
Genre: Drama/Romance
Web Address: A Solo for the Living
Rating: Mature
Pairing(s): Raoul/Christine; Eventual Erik/Christine (Not Confirmed)
Completed: No
Chapters: 33 (as of 11/19)
Warnings: Violence, sex, language, alcohol reference.
Summary: The first kiss turned a ghost into a man. The second turned a girl into a woman. Two kisses, a ring, a backward glance: on such things do lives turn. In the real world outside the opera, two people struggle against themselves. EC, RC[angst]. WIP.

Multitude
Author: azurelacroix
Genre: Horror/Romance
Web Address: Multitude
Rating: Teen Plus
Pairing(s): Erik/Christine; Raoul/Christine
Completed: Yes
Chapters: It contains one chapter, but it is long enough to be multi-chaptered. It took me an hour or so to finish it.
Warnings: Nonconsensual sex, sex, very morbid.
Summary: Following the burning of the opera, the suspicious disappearance of an inspector in the wake of the Phantom's execution leads to many unforseen events. Formerly known as Neither Mask etc.
Note: This is definately not the feel good fic of the year. If you believe that love comes at a price (and a very high one, indeed), then you will probably appreciate this story more than others. Also, it is only due to the fact that the less than appropriate sceens weren't as graphic as they typically are that I did not bump this up to a Mature rating.

Share Paradise
Author: Bondaged Vampiresa
Genre: Romance/Angst
Web Address:Share Paradise
Rating: Teen
Pairing(s): Erik/Christine
Completed: Yes
Chapters: 17
Warnings: Depressed!Christine, minor character death, suicide attempt, language, alcohol reference.
Summary: This is for all who think Christine made the wrong choice. 'Her relationship with Raoul is her romantic awakening as a teenager. But her pull towards the Phantom is a sexual, soulful union.' Joel Schumacher. Formally known as 'It's Over Now'

The True Saga of WeakWilled Christine
Author: Random-Battlecry
Genre: Humor
Web Address: The True Saga of WeakWilled Christine
Rating: Everyone
Pairing(s): Well, there is a couple in the end, but it isn't important.
Completed: Yes
Chapters: 12
Warnings: Bashing of practically every character
Summary: A different take on the three main Phantom characters, Christine gets a chance to tell her side of the story, which should prove vastly amusing as she's not entirely sure what went on anyway.
Note: This makes fun of practically every character in the story, especially the Trio. Many of the jokes in this are also referencing to the movie. So, if you simply can't stand someone making fun of the POTO movie or just POTO in general, this probably isn't the fic for you.

One Shots

Disney's Phantom of the Opera
Author: The Lark
Genre: Humor/Parody
Web Address: Disney's Phantom of the Opera
Rating: Everyone
Pairing(s): None
Completed: Yes
Warnings: May scare you to death. This is why I started fearing the Disney corporation.
Summary: What if Disney ever got its paws on Phantom? *shudders*

Earthbound
Author: Tango1
Genre: Fantasy/Drama
Web Address: Earthbound
Rating: Everyone
Pairing(s): Raoul/Christine; Philosophical And Subtle Erik/Christine (Note: This is an unimportant detail in this one shot. Even devout Erik/Christine shippers can appreciate this one; I did.)
Completed: Yes
Warnings: AU, very slight morbidity.
Summary: Christine finds beauty in the darkness - at a price.

Jealousy
Author: Erik'sTrueAngel
Genre: Horror
Web Address: Jealousy
Rating: Teen
Pairing(s): Raoul/Christine; onesided Meg/Raoul
Completed: Yes
Warnings: Dark!Meg
Summary: PFN’s 3rd Morbidity Contest. Little Meg has always been envious when it comes to her good friend Christine. But marrying the Vicomte was the last straw… Meg's POV. Dark AU.

Our Guild Writes!
Here lies the Fanfiction that has been written by our very own guild members. Feel free to submit your own! Note: Although I will get to it, I have most likely not read these. This is for entertainment value, as well as publicity for the stories.

When Hearts Collide
Author: Emy 'Erik's Quiet Angel' (aka Eriks Love and Protector on Gaia)
Genre: Romance/Drama
Web Address: When Hearts Collide
Rating: Teen
Pairing(s): Erik/Made Up Character
Completed: No
Chapters: 7 (as of 12/3)
Warnings: None
Summary: This story takes place a year after the events Of The Phantom Of The Opera. This story has NOTHING to do with the original story...it's a story after all that happens...

SpectralFantasy
Author: Elanchana
Genre: Drama
Web Address of Fanfiction: SpectralFantasy
Rating: Teen
Pairing(s): Original/Original
Completed: No
Multichaptered: Yes
Chapters: 2 (as of 12/31)
Warnings: Don't read this if you are hoping for ANY direct Phantom references. Some violence may occur...I don't know what yet.
Summary: Assisted by a mysterious Specter, Chloe Maria Davis makes her musical debut at the MAC. Her triumph soon turns into a strange experience of romance, disaster, and dangerous choices. Same basic plot as Phantom, more like the musical than the books, different characters.

Still Pending

This simply means that I haven't gotten around to reading them yet (due to a monsterous project that I should be working on this very moment), but they have aroused my interest and I will read them as soon as I can.

Tapestry of Deceit
Author: Lady Rosesong
Genre: General/Romance
Web Address: Tapestry of Deceit
Rating: Mature
Pairing(s): Erik/Christine
Completed: No
Chapters: 19 (as of 11/11)
Warnings: I don't know yet, but it is probably rated M for a reason.
Summary: Phantom of the Opera set in medieval Europe. Erik plays the mysterious and terrifying Black Knight, who is searching for a bride. Christine plays a lonely servant girl, who is mistaken as the Black Knight's intended. Romance, mystery, and as always, EC.

Update 10/18: I must get going. I have quite a bit more to add to the list, but I don't remember them at the moment. XD Hopefully they will have more variety than what is up there right now. Yes, I am a sucker for realistic Erik/Christine romances...*cough* especially smutty ones. *cough* So, please enjoy, and don't forget to submit your favorite Phanfictions via PM! ^^

Also, feel free to post if you have anything to say about the stories above! I want to know if you guys are actually checking them out (and I'm not wasting my time XD). What story did you like? Do one of the stories have a rating that you found incorrect? Or have you seen better Phanfiction around (and if that is the case, please don't hesitate to PM me about it; I love to read any Phantomy thing I can find)? Whatever you have to say about them, I'd love to hear it!

Oh, your not wasting your time, Evergreen was an excellent fanfiction I've read a few months ago. When I saw this list, I read Demons, which was sooo good. Share Paradise was also a touching story I couldn't end.

Norofel
Disney's Phantom of the Opera is fantastic! xD
I kind of had to force myself to laugh a few times though- simply because I can truly see this happening... gonk

Yes, me too. This is just insulting some children's intellect, though. I mean, I saw it when I was 10. And I got every part. And Disney does seem to kill everything - so no one really watched the movies they showed in school (Someone would be fooled into thinking we were a smart and geeky bunch, bringing tons of books to the auditorium on indoor recess - every day stare ), yeah. Otherwise, it's hilarious. (My little cousin would be complaining his head off if he saw this, lol)

Indeed. When I was ten and watching Anastasia, I thought to myself, "A curse? I thought they were put underground, tortured, and slaughtered." Now that would have been a rather interesting, informative story. Although I suppose Disney could have the right idea...to an extent. I mean, I doubt young children would want to see the slaughter (or real life situations, in other words), nor would they care. And I suppose you don't really go to a movie theater to see a Disney movie so you can be informed or disturbed. Otherwise, you would see a horror flick or a documentary...But still--The Phantom of the Opera must remain untouched by Disney.

Since I have noticed that this board has been rather dead, I decided to put up commentary about the new stories that are put up on the list. This will keep the board active, inform you all of new stories, and satisfy my need to hear myself talk. Or type. XD

Anywho, the story added today is called A Solo for the Living.
Rating
Mature
Does It Warrant Rating?
In my opinion, not really. There is violence because it is during a war and one slightly sexual scene, but as far as I am concerned it doesn't warrant such a rating.
Characterization
Most of the characters are indeed in character. I find the way Madame Giry and Meg Giry converse with both each other and others very uncanny. Christine is as indecisive as ever and I had a hard time deciphering her feelings about both Erik and Raoul for quite a while (which is a good thing). The made up characters all have personalities that I found delightful, but that is probably because they don't have a big to do in the story line. The only person I am a bit annoyed with when it comes to character faithfulness is Erik, but that is probably because I have an adamant opinion about him. Most probably won't mind it or even notice it at all.
Writing Skills
I saw a few grammatical errors, but everyone has them. It is said in one chapter that she writes/edits stories professionally, so I would assume that such errors are easily avoided for the authoress.
Interest
For me, it was rather hard at some places to keep reading the story. It goes a lot into the Franco-Prussian War, which while facinating can leave more to be desired (because who honestly reads a romance fic to get lectured on a war). Those with short attention spans may not enjoy this story as much as others. However, this consistency in mentioning it probably delves into the plot. In fact, it does. But that's all I will say about that. wink Despite this, I found it to be an interesting read thus far.
Who Would Like This Story?
Don't believe in free love? Neither do I. XD But anyway, people who enjoy angst and drama over plain waff and smut will probably enjoy this story more than others. History buffs will also appreciate the time and effort spent in the research the authoress did to weave real life events into the story line.
Other Comments About Fic
Have you read this story and would like to comment? Well, um, comment away and I'll put it here. Good or bad.

And there is my first commentary. Hopefully it will inspire you to read this Fanfiction. ^^ Remember: You are always free to submit Phanfiction you enjoyed or even your own Fanfiction! Until next time!
