For those of you who do not feel that you have the talent, skill or creativity to even try and make something that is all your own, doll dressers, avatar editors and people who have permission to use privately owned images, there will be some guidelines for using images that you did not create.
You should not try to make a profit in Gaia by exploiting the hard work of other artists. Therefore, all images must be properly credited and with courtesy links back to your benefactors. They were kind enough to grant you permission, you should link back to them.
If you use a bit of art belonging to another artist, make sure that they allow their work to be used in this way and that you give full credit, instead of minimum credit. Try to make it so that there can be no mistake that you are claiming to make artwork that you did not.
The Minishop Rules and Guidlines exist alongeside other, independant sets of rules, such as Copyright laws and Artists' Terms of Use. Always go with the most conservative rule, and you can hardly go wrong.
You should understand the spirit of these guidlines, as a protective measure for artists. The rights of an artist will always be honored over the right of a Gaian to pursue gold. If you try to exploit loopholes in the wording, break the rules in spirit and/or blatently disrespect the rights of artists for Gaia Gold, you are breaking the rules.
If you wish to open a mini shop, you must read and understand these rules in their entirity. It is your responsibility to make sure your shop is legal.
