just incase i try and tell myself otherwise..
now then, Rue says it takes 21 days to break a habit, a nice short space of time 3nodding i want to get used to being more effecient around the house, not leaving things to pile up, this week i've done great! i've not left dishes to build up, i ironed my washing straight away, i gave the downstairs loo a good scrub today. i know i have to do things in little bits, or i don't want to do anything at all! so tidying or re-arranging a small area works best for me, organisation in bite sized pieces rolleyes i have a mental 'to do' list that's as long as your arm, hopefully, if i stick to being a bit more productive, that will shrink a bit cool

Yay! Good idea! I don't know if it helps or not to have an actual checklist of things to do, and maybe check one or two things off each day. I remember hearing some other moms say they actually clean a part of their house every day so they don't have to do it all at once, and wow, I sure don't do any tidying or cleaning most days! eek I used to have a goal of at least doing some quick surface cleaning every Thursday, but that didn't last long either.

an actually list would be a big no-no for me, i'd resent it sitting there looking at me. i prefer to just do when i feel like it, and a little bit at a time is best, most of my kitchen still looks presentable, the main task there is the tops of the fridge/freezer, as they have been a general dumping ground all the time i've lived here, a pile of recipe books, a shoe box full of odds and ends, a picture thats wiating patiently to go up on the wall, junk mail that needs the address panels removing and throwing away, a tin with various bits and pieces in it, a little plastic basket with the same stressed all things that need me to sort out something else before they can be moved rolleyes so they end up staying where they are lol

I have to agree with you Jelly. If I see it written down whether on the fridge or on the computer, I tend to keep putting it off for another day.
I must say that Tab and I have been pretty productive this past week. We have totally cleaned the kitchen, dining room and living room. This included walls, curtains, etc. Let's just say that the garbage man got his workout this morning at our curb spot.
