Okay~ This came to me as I was doing HW (go figure). In MSN lots of us have questions about HW...well now there is no need to ask in a croswded IM box! Just post your questions/problems here and someone can come and help you. Hopefully. Since we have a variety of students in here (ranging from middle school to college!) I figured this would be a good idea. :333 Just to note, I'm a writer so...I prefer English questions over math...actually don't ask me math questions. -dies-

Aaaand I'm going to start because I know nothing. Anyone here know how to do Algebra II? XDD Here are some problems in my HW I do not get;

Factoring this; 9x squared - 4.

I've done all the other ones...and I have tried so many options. You use the factor box ne? x.X I don't know if the answer is staring me right in the face and I'm an idiot...or if it is hard. >x> Please help. Thankies. =D

And these; Solve these!
b) 4.7 = x^1/3
c) 8^(x+3) = 16x
d) 9^3 = 27^(2x-1)

Thanks to anyone who helps! <33

Wow, it feels like forever since I've had Algebra. I believe these are right:

b) x=103.823 (I cubed both sides of the equation)
c) x=-6 (I put both in terms of 2^x then came up with 2^8(x+3)=2^4x. I solved for x and there you go)
d) x=3/2 (same as above except this time 3^x)

Hope that's right.

Thankies for the help, Sai-chan! ^_^

I basically need help asking questions. I know how to answer them in the passe compose, I just don't know how to ask them...XDD Here are the questions that I have tried to do, I want to make sure I'm asking them write. ^_^

Qu'est-ce que mange pour le diner hier soir ?

Qu'est-ce que tu regarde a tele le soir avant?

Quand avez-vous obtenu pour instruire?

Okay, those are the ones I did on my own. x.X These are the ones I don't know how to do;

How did you get to the school?

Why did you speak French?

Who did you go to the concerts with?

Where did you go last weekend?

Well, to form a question you inverse the person and the verb and then add 'qu'__, quand, quoi, où, pourquoi' etc, etc...or you say 'Qu'est-ce que, qu'est-ce qu'__'. It's really simple. And of course, you conjugate the verb in passé composé. Remember that you have to switch auxilaries according to the verb you're using.

First of all, your first two questions do not have a person. The verb is floating there without any subject. So to fix your questions, you need to add a person and fix the tenses. If you add 'hier soir', your verb has to be in the past tense.

So, for your first question, you would have to change the tense and add a subject which would result in becoming: "Qu'as-tu mangé pour le diner hier soir?"

It's the same case for your second. Annddd...you need a déterminant to accompany your noun, or télé. It would then become "Qu'as-tu regardé à la télé le soir avant?"

I don't really get the last question. owo "When have you _______?" That's all I get.

Your other ones would be:
How did you get to school? Comment es-tu arrivé à l'école?

Why did you speak French? Pourquoi as-tu parlé français?

Who did you go to the concerts with? Avec qui es-tu allé au concert avec?

Where did you go last weekend? Où es-tu allé la fin de semaine passée?

Hope my explanation wasn't too hard to understand. nwn;;; I suck at explanations.

Hmm...makes sense. My third question I messed up. It's supposed to be "How do you get to High School?" Totally messed that up. Let's see if I can fix it right. Would it be...;

Comment tu-as arrive a l'ecole?

Yes? >x>

Okay, and thanks for the others.

Would 'Where did you go to the movies?' be;

Ou as-tu alle a la cinema?

Thanks again for the help. Sorry if I seem as though I know nothing. x.X

Arriver takes the auxiliaire être. So it would be:«Comment ES-tu arrivé à l'école?»
Or else, it's very good. You catch on quick. =D

Yup, but, like arriver, aller takes the auxiliair être. And 'à la cinéma' doesn't make sense. Cinéma is 'masculin' and not 'féminin'. But it would still be wrong to say 'à le cinéma', so, you put them together to form 'au'.

It's really no problem, since I have nothing better to do. XD;; I like to help people when I can. It makes me feel good, oddly. Yupp. :3

I have to do a definition essay, you know, take a word I use and write an extended essay on it. Well I choose the word "Jinglish". XD. Of course we all know what that is, but I need a few people to participate. I have some questions that I need some people to answer.

This is all your personal opinion:

1. Write a one sentence definition of what 'Jinglish' is.

2. How did the term originate? (to your knowledge)

3. List possible situations in which the term is used.(Who uses it? When might they use it?)

4. Use the term in a sentence.

5. Specific examples. (We all know those.)

If it was your first time hearing the word "Jinglish" and you didn't already know what it meant, what do you think it would mean?

Thank you for your participation.

1. Write a one sentence definition of what 'Jinglish' is.
A language that attempts to be English but falls short, often resulting in an idiotic phrase.

2. How did the term originate? (to your knowledge)
A japanese boy band member

3. List possible situations in which the term is used.(Who uses it? When might they use it?)
By Bakanishi and people who are like him.

4. Use the term in a sentence.
Jinglish is a combination of what is adorable and what is idiotic.

5. Specific examples. (We all know those.)
Youtube.... nuff said.

If it was your first time hearing the word "Jinglish" and you didn't already know what it meant, what do you think it would mean?
An odd form of English.

*shrug* The best I could do...

1. Write a one sentence definition of what 'Jinglish' is.
An infrequently-used colloquial form of English that utilizes errors made by . . . non-native speakers for humor.

2. How did the term originate? (to your knowledge)
A group of people *coughfangirlscough* coined the term after observing a Japanese man's frequently comical misuse of the English language.

3. List possible situations in which the term is used.(Who uses it? When might they use it?)
Fangirls use it when talking about Akanishi Jin, or perhaps when they find themselves in or recounting situations in which they have said something idiotic that mimics Akanishi Jin.

4. Use the term in a sentence.
I asked my mom for some car shrimp, but when she looked at me strangely, I realized I had spoken in Jinglish.

5. Specific examples. (We all know those.)
I won't list these because you are weak.

If it was your first time hearing the word "Jinglish" and you didn't already know what it meant, what do you think it would mean?
I'd think it was an adjective describing something twinkly and shiny. Like jingle-ish. That, or mixing English with some other language (like Spanglish or Vietnamenglish).

I told myself not to go online today so I could finish my homework earlier, but it didn't really work. D:
