I've grown up into a science loving, antireligion family. I too love science and plan to go into a science based career, the problem is that i'm also very intrested in sprituality (my family would make fun of me till the end of time if they found out) my question is this, is it possible to strike a happy medium between science and spirituality/wicca/newage beliefs? -suz

Considering there are so many fields of study that involve psychic, ghost and spiritual phenominon. I am sure there is something that would let the 2 worlds merge, but I'm not much of a scientist and wouldn't know where to start.

I would have to say yes it's possible. In my religion, it's mostly faith oriented, but all of the Sientific facts support what I beilve. I have found a happy medium with both.

Hummm... There's always the Parapsychologist. The "ghost hunters" and the like. My suggestion... At some point, go to a local rabbi and/or priest and ask them what they might know. Explain to them what you've explained to us... That you're trying to find a middle ground between spiritual and scientific. A pastor might know but most likely your best bet would be the rabbi or priest. The reasoning for this is often they tend to be more down to earth in understanding. Not Everybody is a creationist... And if your family gets too much, you might remind them that Einstein was a very devout believer in the cosmos and God... and did very well for himself. wink

I'd say quantum physics. Cause now, they're able to "PROVE" things that western philosophy has known for years. Such as the very INTENTION of the study affects the results. I know there's a lot more in it too.
