October: PERSPECTIVE!
This month's book is one of my absolute favourites:
Perspective! for Comic Book Artists: How to Achieve a Professional Look in Your Artwork by David Chelsea. Okay, okay, so you're probably thinking that that's a bit of a boastful title, but it gives what it promises. At least, for me. . .
sweatdrop Now, I'm not the smartest person in the world: when I was in fifth grade, my art teacher tried to teach me about perspective, and I couldn't even comprehend that. Trust me, some of that stuff is pretty confusing: try googling some of the Masters' roughs on perspective. C-O-N-F. . . how do you spell the rest?
Well, to get to the point, this book explains things in an easy-to-understand, almost. . . *GASP*
fun to read way! Which is the point, right? Mr. Chelsea uses a comic book format to explain important and abstract aspects of perspective, and teach you something! YES! A book that teaches you important aspects of art. . . with PICTURES.
