So guys... how did you get into D. Gray-man? I got into it because my cousin reccomended it to me and I started reading the scanlations. 3nodding

I don't really remember.. ^ ^" But I think it was either my cousin or a friend who introduced it to me. I think I started out reading scanlations, but now I buy chinese volumes~ ^w^

One day, my one friend from neopets, that I hadn't talked to in like two years, emailed me telling me she had got a Deviant-ART. So I checked it out, and guess who was on the picture for the favourites! RABI! And I have this fetish for redheaded guys, so I was like "dude. that guy is SEXY." I looked at that person's gallery and then I started reading it for the sake of seeing more Rabi. sweatdrop I then fell in love with the whole storyline and everything. So its like my favourite manga now whee or at least tied with Bleach.

I didn't start reading it until it was released in English, for lack of enthusiasm... But I'd seen a lot of D.Gray-man links on Japanese fanart sites, so I thought, "It must be pretty cool... 8D" And then I read the first volume and was totally hooked... I finished the rest of the series over a weekend.

at first I knew about the manga for a while, but I was too lazy to go read it, until a friend TOLD me to had to xD she made me read the first volume and now I'm totally hooked xp

Well when I read the first volume I thought it was stupid and I really didn't get it. A few months later I thought I would read the rest just for the heck of it and I got hooked.

I decided it was a good time for a 'D' anime.
so I picked DEATH NOTE and D.Gray-Man.

I got into it because I have this friend on LJ who's an amazing artist, and right when the manga came out she read it and drew a whole bunch of sketches of the characters... So I thought I'd check it out. biggrin Ever since then I've been reading it. There are times where I'll forget about it for awhile so I have times where I have to play catch-up with the manga, but right now I'm pretty hooked. XD

I went shopping intending to randomly buy Black Cat because of all the ads VIZ puts of it in BLEACH, and saw an ad for D.Gray-Man in the Black Cat Volume I was going to buy. xD Then I found Volume 1 on the shelf like, 5 minutes later.
Comparing the storylines and art style to each other (I prefer stories about demons and ghosts/spirits more than bounty hunters), I decided to buy D.Gray-Man instead of Black Cat. xD
And I fell in love with it~ Plus it's a newly translated series (Volume 1 was released like, a week or 2 before I bought it), so I wasn't be a couple years behind like I was with BLEACH. x_X
And my friend who was shopping with me got Black Cat a few weeks later, so now I get to read both without buying both. heart whee

I was walking around in a bookstore while visiting my family in Japan. I saw D. Gray-Man on a shelf and thought, "Hey, I remember that from Shonen Jump." So I bought volume one. Then I got hooked.

I was searching for a BLEACH episode on youtube and it also came up w/D. Gray-Man so I clicked on it just for the heck of it razz now I'm glad i did!^^

Was reading Naruto scans (.. I'm not so much a fan of this series anymore...) and then I saw the site also had D.Gray-Man scans. I remembered seeing lots of picture things on D.G-M at deviantART.. went and read it. Didn't like it at first because it freaked me out. Few months later I read it again because I was bored.. and I got really into it. smile

My friend made a layout for her domain with Allen and Rabi on it, and I was like, "o_o! Who're they??"
*loves Rabi's look, can't wait until he shows up in the anime!*
I'd been meaning to start downloading the manga, but because I'm a lazy bum (and also because my comp. was too full of Naruto XD) the anime started coming before I got to it. Now I live for Thursday nights! sweatdrop

I go on DeviantArt alot. Eventhough, I haven't posted anything up there in a while. And many of my favorite artists talked about and drew pictures of D.Gray-man and its characters.
So after a while, I just started reading it. Then, I fell in love.
