I agree with Kavic. The person they chose for Raito doesn't have the right look and I don't care for his voice either I like the person they chose for the anime voice better. L however is exactly like I imagined him (well it wasn't so much imagination since Death Note is a comic but...)

Ah I think Amane Misa was pretty good since there are no blonde people in Japan, and L was awesome, but Raito was...
well...lets just say he dissapointed me...but I watched because of Misa and L. They are cool.

Well, the guy who played Raito played the main character in this other Japanese film called Battle Royale. Very bloody film about students being send off to a small island and were forced to kill each other. Way beyond creepy, and they get the main character to play Raito. Do I need to say more?
Also, in Battle Royale, the girl who plays Miss Gogo in Kill Bill Vol. 1 was in that film. Go figure.
