Ooh, if that's true, I just got a reason to go out & buy a Nintendo DS.

*pokes around online* There should be more press about this game comming out. It's said to be released on July 26, 2005. You can preorder at:

EBGames Online
GameStop

For the game comming out so soon, there isn't much information floating around about it.

*sigh*...Now I have to get a new system. crying They should release it on a PS2 *nodnod*

I know...I already don't like small screen systems (Although I did buy a Gameboy Advance for the Lunar remake ^^; ) but I really don't like the DS. It would make me so happy if they released it for the PS2 or 3. (Although I guess that would be hard without a remake, due to the dual screen thing...Arrg.)

...Also, am I the only one who winces at the words 'card battle'? The fact that it wasn't originally listed as an RPG also makes me rather suspicious. On the other hand, if it's good...Mmm.

Vic Ireland said AGES ago that the new Lunar game would DEFINITELY be released on the PS2 in America. That's the main reason I BOUGHT the system.

Words cannot describe how ******** pissed off I am, if this is true. I hate handhelds to begin with, but the Nintendo DS is really ******** gay. What the hell were they smoking when they thought it would be a good idea to combine a video game system and a bloody PALM PILOT? stressed

Edit: Oh my god! Have you seen the screenshots on lunar-net? They've raped my Lunar! RAPED it! Why, oh why, did they not give the title to Game Arts? crying

Because the people at Working Designs are genius & genius doesn't pay off until later. They want profit now. Or at least, that's the only conceivable reason I've come up with.

I also don't want to buy a DS, even if it is for a Lunar game. crying

I think that it was a good idea and a bad idea to release it on the DS.

Bad: It's the DS, this, and any hand-held system, is not supposed to have RPG's like this. They were made for the consoles, like Xenosaga, it wasn't made to be put on the damn DS!

Good: DS is built for RPGs, I don't care what anyone says, RPG is the perfect genre for it. The second screen is perfect for flipping through menus and data. And, allowing for a bigger battle screen looked good too. Anyone here subscribed to nintendopower? They had an interview and a preview-type thing.

Oh, and the art is still awesome, but the DS better be able to keep it kick-a**.

I've messed with the DS before & found it both interesting & addictive. Now I just need a job since nothing I've tried so far has worked out too well. sweatdrop

By the way, any Slayers fans around here see the white-haired guy in the top right area in the pic for Lunar: Dragon Song & automatically think either of Halcyform or an experiment combining Rezo & Ghaleon? Or am I the only one?

REZO!!!!!!!!!!!! The first time I saw him I though "That looks like Ghaleon!" But now that you mention it, I see the Rezo too! Another conspiracy in the making!

Ooh, I love a good conspiracy. Not to mention, for whatever reason, I think Lunar & Slayers could cross over quite well.

Waitaminute... Didn't Game Arts already have a hand in Lunar? I seem to remember them being listed in the opening sequence of Lunar SSSC. I could be wrong, though, so feel free to correct me if I am...

No idea, I'll have to check that if I ever remember to.

On another note, anyone know when Lunar: Dragon Song is set for release?

Step 1: Buy DS....Check
Step 2: Buy Lunar: DS...Incomplete
Step 3: Buy Xenosaga DS...Incomplete

The stylist and D-pad are really clumsy in Super Mario 64 DS. You can't make quick moves with either, they're no joystick!

Okay, there is a hell of a lot of info here: http://www.rpgamer.com/games/lunar/lunargen/lunargenprev.html

It explains the characters, the light and dark battle system, and a lot more. It also says the release date is September this year. That might be the Japanese release date unfortunately.

Wait, I lie!
"Gamers can expect this title to hit North American stores sometime in September."

It doesn't make sense though, because the preview that was in Nintendo Power was the September issue. And they said it wasn't even out in Japan yet. Plus, they get early versions of games before they're released so they can get the reviews on the games finished in time for the release of the game. They should have a copy by now, by they make it seem like it's not finished. Then they point out that it's not ready for release yet. So my conclusion is that it's probably not true, but would still be really nice.

"'Changing times demand changing ideas,' is perhaps the mantra that best fits this latest Lunar title."

That describes the real world too, certain groups and/or organizations need to learn this.

Hold on... Xenosaga DS? All right! Now I'm almost guaranteed a Nintendo DS to mooch off of my sister once she finds out about that.
