As long as we're beating you with conversation topics, why not this one?
Are you a diehard Klingon fan? Defend your honor! Do you find the Borg strangely attractive (*cough*SEVENOFNINE*cough*)? Assimilate some non-believers!
Perhaps you prefer the Q? You're promoted.
Whether you're into Cardassians or Species 8472, we want to hear your opinions and insights.
Qa'pla!

And they're just flawed enough so they're not "cheating"! 3nodding

Many of the races were cool to me for various reasons, but the one that stands out to me as the best star trek race is the borg. The concept was something I had never thought of, and to this day I havn't seen space-zombie-robots done any better. Plus, borg can typically be any species so its win-win.

They explain it better in the Voyager episodes you have yet to see...though the jist of it is basically that they're a species on the brink of extinction via boredom. They can do everything, so they've done it all. All of them have done everything so they now sit around in the Continuum doing nothing. Why do you think Q is so willing to be excentric? (Other than the fact that Q is Q and Q is hot-hot-heat and anyone who says otherwise should run...now.)
The Borg were cool...many have pointed out that they're intergalactic communists. 3nodding

The Q are definately the best race. Then Orion slave girl rocks. Just goes to show that just because you have different skin doesn't mean you can't be smexeh. Finally Risans. Free love baby.

Give me the supreme arrogance of the Romulans anyday. No matter what happens a Romulan will do whatever they can to keep face & retain that image of superiority. Plus they invented cloaking. I also like the Cardassians. Similar to the Romulans but there's that tendancy to go psychotic. Also, I love their judicial system. It's very entertaining. I also liked the Hirogens. I always wondered who'd win between them & the Klingons. Hunters vs Warriors.

I don't think I could choose a favorite. There are more humans to like than any other species, so I might be inclined to choose them. But I also like the Klingons because of their pride and honor. And the Ferengi are great for entertainment value. Also, I really love Spock but I don't really feel that way about other Vulcans.

I loved the Klingons more than all the other races because they were very up front about their hatred towards others, unlike Romulons. Granted, there were some, but not all of them. They have a better code of honor than all the rest. I found the Borg kind of drull and Romulons were overtly over-done in the conspiracies. Though, "Nemesis" was a great and under-appreciated movie.
