Hello, I am Sel Adriel though I prefer it if you call me by my last name. Well let's start from the beginning. I was starting to look for work on the 13th of October but nobody had jobs for me! (well at least I think so, I was looking for a job as a food tester and I didn't qualify) Oh in case you think I have any type of problem, I do, I am a vegetarian (not really condition) and I am *Laxent-Intollarant*. Well on to the story, someone strange, with a really big head and nose!! gonk , wanted me to be a maid in a place called *"Mansion 19"*, he said I was to start work on the 21st. I never saw him until the 19th when I was walking around Barton. He seemed to be talking about abducting cows to ALIEN SPACESHIPS!! gonk !!! I never saw him again.
On the 20th I decided to check out Mansion 19. I decided to appreciate nature and walk through the woods to Mansion 19. Then I saw a pack of wolves!! The Alpha (the biggest one) bit me, I ran for my life though I ran on all fours... I scratched my head in confusion... WAIT A MINUTE, I AM USING MY BACK FEET TO SCRATCH MY HEAD!! WHAT IS GOING ON?! By the time I got to mansion 19 I was back to normal and was in a healthy condition, not even a bit of dirt was still on me!
Inside the mansion lobby it looked real nice. Then the buttler recognised me and said, "Ahh Sel Adriel"--"Adriel!", I said, "Whatever, well anyway, things have changed, It seems the maid starting today is sick, lucky you came when you did. You"ll have to start today." I had no objection. I went upstairs and went to the room I was assigned, "Presidential Suite". It seemed their was royalty in the mansion, perhaps she helped provide the mansion for the party or something. I saw that the Princess was still asleep. I was cleaning the giant mirror when I saw the worst... My beautiful golden locks was turning into short split-ended grey hairs,(surprisingly worse for females to endure than males) my beautiful white glowing teeth becoming uneven, pointed and yellow... I shoved the sick-bag over my head for i did not want too see anymore (an empty sick-bag of course)
I do not know what turn of events occured but I do not even want to know... When I awoke in the drawing room I was horrified, BLOOD EVERYWHERE!!! I was convicted of 19 murders that was never meant to be... I know now, that big headed/nosed guy wanted me to kill everyone at mansion... I think I will escape next time the transformation would begin....
THE END!! *This was supposed to be written jail by Adriel *The guards did not know she had a diary with her and only discovered the diary until the 19th of October this year. I decided to edit it so it would be more story-lineish. This was set long ago and didn't happen this year it was just a coincedence that it was near the 19th and 13th of October. (or is it?) *Ron Bruise "big headed/nosed guy" had to be involved with these murders somehow... but I don't really feel like going deeper into that right now *Excuse me for my spelling of laxent Intollarant (i can't spell that) *Ahhh the first metion of mansion 19 Please tell me what you thought of it. Heh I just realised, I turned a not horror story into a horror story!! xd xd Edit: I went to the Drawing Room (I think that was it) and saw that 19 people had been murdered their, I had to add something about that...

A Rain of Glass
Leaning her head back laughing, Svart let one of the mansion's butlers swing her arond in a grazeful waltz. The ballroom was crammed with people, the soft murmur and amused laughs could be heard dimly behind the music. As Svart looked up at the gigantic mirror ceiling a thump was heard, and the mirror trembled slightly. Pulling at the butler jacked she motioned him to look up. They both stopped dead and stared as another thump came.
"What on Gaia....what is that?" The words came breathlessly as she looked to the butler again. A sudden spark in her eye signalized an idea. "It's the surprise, isn't it?" She said and laughed. "Tell me what it is!"
She suddenly noticed that her laugh was the only thing filling the ballrom and clasped a hand over her mouth in embarrasment. The butler stood still, staring at the ceiling, he did not look amused. The room was dead silent as a hard crash was heard, and then... The mirror ceiling burst into millions of pieces, broken glass came flying down towards the people in suits and gowns. The butler threw himself over Svart as she passed out from shock. Silence.
Her own gasp for air woke her as she struggled to get free from the butler's grip. He stared at nothing, eyes glazed. With a scream she realised he was dead and kept screaming until she stood free on the floor. The view of the ballroom silenced her. Pieces of broken glass and corpses lay scattered over the ballrom floor. Svart shook from the sight, and spotted a group of people weeping and covering their eyes under the gigantic table of wrecked food. Trying to gather herself she spoke up: "You who are...alive...please come out, we have to find out what is going on here!" Her voice trembled badly, but she managed to get the words out. As people started to crawl out from their shelters she looked to her handsome butler who had sacrificed his life for her and shed a tear.
"I will find out who did this, for you.." She whispered with a long sigh and walked towards the people gathering up.
"Anyone injured?" Another girl said, "I'm a doctor, and I'll gladly help the best I can." Murmurs from the crowd said there were injuries and the doctor decided to take them all to the drawing room.
The small group of about ten Gaians looked to Svart, awiting her to say something. Svart shifted her feet as noise was heard from the roof. "Alright...say...should we go take a look?" Her heart raced and the tremble nearly brought her to the floor, but the other Gaians nodded slightly as they began moving towards the door.
Svart flung herself back from the roof hatch at the sight that met her eyes. "...Aliens!" She whispered fiercely, "They're here!" A man stepped forward, wearing a fine black suit, and in his middle years: "I will go first, this is no place for a little lady," he said and looked towards Svart and then the two other girls. Svart agreed inside, but come to think of it it felt kind of condescending. "Alright, but I follow behind you," she said, and the two other girls nodded in agreement.
The little group of brave Gaians snuck out the hatch and crawled along the red tiled roof. It was dark outside, but the blue light coming from the alien's saucers was just enough to see, but maybe not be seen. Wrong! A large group of aliens came trotting towards the Gaians pointing. An agressive language flung towards them as they got up to run. As clumsy as Svart had always been she slipped on the moist tile and fell. Instantly she started to slide down towards the end of the roof. The others tried to reach her, but it was too late. With a scream she went over the edge and flew through the air. This is when I die , she thought frantically before she crashed into a gigantic rose bush. The thorns stung imennsely when she realised she was alive. Crawling out from the bush with small cuts everywhere she heard her friends being taken on the roof: "We will have use for you," a mechanical voice spoke.
Hauling herself back to the ground she crawled to the mansion wall. How she had enjoyed herself tonight. Maybe it would have been better if she had died in the ballroom. A voice interrupted her thoughts: "Hey girly! Whooo!" A broad American accent flung towards her and she looked up. "Ron Bruise??" She exclaimed and got up hurriedly. The man was caged in a meterial that looked like water. He looked scared behind that happy mask.
"Are you going to let me out or what?" He said with a false grin. "I...I don't trust you Mr.Bruise," Svart said as she pushed herself against the wall in fear. "You Gaians are sooo suspicious, can't you see the aliens have trapped me too? I LOVE MY LIFE!! YEAH!" A slightly mad laugh followed and Svart gave a shudder. "It can't get any worse I suppose...But how can I free you?". He gigled insainly and pointed to the roof, "an alien has to touch the surface and I will be free! Yeah, free!" As Svart looked up at the roof she heard a man growl and saw an alien flying from the roof. This had to be Ron's ultimate lucky day, because the alien landed point blank into his cage. The cage vanished with a large buzz and Ron laughed roughly as he drew up a vial of white liquid and threw it to Svart, "drink this, and the aliens will go away for a while. WHOOO!" Svart thought the man to be insane but she saw no other option than drinking it. A faint voice called to her through the mist she saw: "Remember to plan next time...." And all went black.
...Leaning her head back laughing Svart let one of the mansion's butlers swing her arond in a grazeful waltz. The ballroom was crammed with people, the soft murmur and amused laughs could be heard dimly behind the music... "WAIT!" Svart's shout stopped the music and she gave the butler a happy kiss on the cheek. Remembering everything she spoke up: "Aliens are on their way! Gather the people, we must fight them!"
Will Ron Bruise be there to save the day once more....?
Edit: I corrected my sloppy spelling, sorry about that 3nodding .

Hello, this is keth sanders, senior detective at apollo invetigations, I was assigned to this task after the numerous rumors of alien activity, my employer thought it "advisable" for me to take a look around. so I sighned the guest list as a Charles Maw to avoid any, suspicion.
After the brief tour I found my chance to break away from the group and get some hard facts, the mystery of the 19. As I was wondering thought the mansions vast halls I detected a fimiliar smell, it brought me back to my last mission, the invetigation of the Grunnie out break. I switly combed the corridor and found a small hole, bunny sized, I knew would heelish things grunnie bites can do, you become sort of half dead. thought it was assumend that the virus was contained, the rumors of alien activity didn't stir well with me, could the aliens be after the virus?

There is a prophecy.... Long ago, there was a prophecy that someone would die in Mansion 19. But, the prophecy, as it was written on a piece of paper, was incorrectly translated. The real prophecy was that some unfortunate girl would be engulfed by the darkness in room 83. And as it turns out, it happened this year. To the very girl who was using that room. Me. Kyubigirl.
One day, kyubigirl was checking her mail, and saw an invitation to Mansion 19. Gladly, she accepted it. But as she did, she felt an evil force at work. Later that day, kyubigirl went to Mansion 19 and was told her room was 83. When she went inside 83 to see where she was in, she found darkness. The door closed behind her, and she was sucked into the shadows. The next morning, she found her clothing had turned black. Even her Gwee had turned black. And she could see the room as if it were surrounded by light. Bright light. So when she left and brought others to her room, they asked her how she could see in it, because there was no light. "What, are you blind or something?" she said. When she said it, she realized the only reason she could see was because she had been sucked in, against her will. And now, since I like mystery themes sometimes, I will leave my story here. I'll put in a few edits when I think of something.
>This is entirely fiction. I can't think of anything else. >I don't want to use my real name and I like pronouns because they're so short. >To the first post: You spelled "prophecy" wrong.
Edits: None until I think of something.

As I ran through the woods into the night I wondered how I could have gotten myself into this. Thinking back, I remembered that large headed man, what was his name? Oh yea Ron Bruise... It all started when Ron Bruise came on September 11. Just around that date people began talking about the number 19. Soon it was one of the biggest things in this part of Gaia. It was even acknowledged by Cindy Donovinh, head reporter of the Gaia news! Soon I heard of a major party at an exclusive mansion beginning on the nineteenth. I decided I wanted to join so I did. As the nineteenth came around I checked out the party. It seemed pretty nice. Then there was talk of a surprise... I decided to wait for the surprise, not be very gitty like the many others. So it was October 22, later than the supposed latest that the surpise was to be revealed. Many could not stand the suspense any more. I was getting rather anxious myself. I decided to wait it out a little bit longer. Soon there were reports of deaths in the ballroom and the guest bedrooms. I wondered what was going on, so i snuck into the ballroom. There I saw a man laying on the ground, very well dead, in a pile of blood. He was an ex-human! I turned him over and there was a stab wound in his chest. I decided to take a look around the room to try to find a murder weapon... Soon enough i did, although i don't understand why people would just hide it in the room and not take it with them. I was starting to get nervous so I left and went to my room, room 57. I was in the room down the hall from the room with a murder... I was resting, nearly asleep, when i heard a knock on the door. I asked "Who is it?" "The butler, sir" replied a familiar voice. I let him in. I began to speak when he said " You must leave now. There is a murderer on the loose in the mansion and he is after me!" I was rather scared now. "Why is he after you?" I asked. " Whoever he is he believes that I know what the surprise is! It's just a silly little surprise! He has already killed the master! We are trying to get all inhabitents to evacuate as soon as possible." The butler said. I was fearing something out of this world. I have heard rumors of UFOs near houses... And in the middle of nowhere, near Ron Bruise's house. The butler gently pushed me down the hall to the staircase. I was descending the staircase when I heard a Sonic Boom. "They're here!" I heard a voice say as I ran down the stairs. I ran through the lobby to the outside when out of nowhere came an alien like thing that blocked my way. "Where is Bruise?" It asked forcefully. "I dont know, he has been gone for days now. No one has seen him." "He is here!" It shouted."Somewhere, he is here!" The alien was distracted by a scream and a thud as about 10 yards away the butler fell off of the roof with a knife on his chest, with the initials J.G. on it. I ran. So here I am running. I wondered "The initials on the knife, J.G. Who could it be?" Then I realized Johnny Gambino has recently been discovered alive... ................................................................................................................................................. I am sorry if i stretched the page, it was gonna be short but then I really got into it. I tryed to stay literate and spell everything correctly. If you find something wrong with it, please PM me with my mistake...

+Just so everyone knows this is a prophecy.+
The girl stood on the roof, where she had first seen the other person. She was supposed to live in the mansion herself, with only her friend, Rebecca, her sister had refused to move into the mansion with them saying it was horrible to move where there had been deaths before. As she stood on the roof, she heard the door open and then close. She looked, but no one was there. She turned again, only to hear footsteps coming up right behind her. Turning she saw the same person who had been lurking around. A slightly taller figure with a jacket that covered the figures body and baggy pants that covered there feet, but the thing she remembered most about the person, the thing that made her paralyzed with fear was that mask. That horrid mask, one that covered her whole head with a black background and two blood red eyes and demented fangs. Before Kira had time to move the figure reached out and pushed her hard. Kira lost her footing and slipped from the roof falling. As she fell though, she ripped off the mask and screamed, staring in horror at who it was.
~Two weeks ago.~ "Hurry, we're going to the mansion today!" Kira called to her sister as Rebecca drove up in her car. Kira was only 15, Rebecca 18 and the girl Kira was calling, Miko, her sister, was 19.
"NO!" Miko yelled unexpectedly. When Kira noticed she didn't have her bags she seemed confused. Miko took a deep breath and smiled at her sister weekly. "Kira, I'm not going there, people die there. Besides don't you want to stay here with me?" Miko asked holding out her arms to her sister. Kira stared at her sister and shook her head. "No, I don't want to stay here, nothing good is here. NOTHING!" She yelled, having already decided she was going to the mansion no matter what. Miko was silent looking down, but she heard her sister get into Rebecca's car and she heard drive off, not even minding the sisters fights. Miko closed the door to her house, but the words her sister said echoed in her head. 'Nothing is good here. Nothing.' "Nothing..." Miko said to herself. 'But Kira I'm here. Am I nothing?' She thought to herself walking upstairs.
Meanwhile, Rebecca sped down streets and reached the mansion in an hour or so. Getting her bags and stuff out of the car both of the girls walking into the mansion talking, happy that they could just be here. After dinner, they both went to sleep, so they could be ready for the cleaning that was going to have to be done tomorrow. Rebecca's room was only two down from Kira's incase of any problems.
A hour or two after Kira fell asleep there were sounds on the roof. Not wanting to bother Rebecca, she just got up and headed for the roof. Opening the door, she saw a figure. Long jacket, baggy pants, and a mask that could scare an adult. The figure looked at her then got up and sarted coming torwards her. Stopping only a foot or so away and then it seemed like it was going to talk, but instead just ran a hand across it's throat as if it was a sign. Kira had been too scared to move since then, but that did it, she screamed and ran from the roof into Rebecca's room. "Rebecca please, please..." She kept saying it over and over again. Rebecca awoke to this. "What happened?" "The roof, the roof." Kira cried. Together the two once again went to the roof, but nothing was there. Rebecca sighed. "Are you sure it wasn't just a dream?" "I guess....it must have been." Kira said slowly, but decided to stay with Rebecca till the morning. From then on Kira kept seeing small traces of the person. In a mirror, from the back of her eye, reflected in water, from her car window on the roof, but she never saw it directly again, until a week and six days later.
Kira was cooking dinner, used to the harmless ghost as she called the figure. Then she heard a scream from Rebecca's room and ran through the halls reaching the room quickly as possible. Rebecca lay there strangled with the cord of the phone next to her bed. Above her stood the figure. Slowly it turned to Kira and let out a horrible laugh, before stopping suddenly and saying words, that Kira couldn't get out of her head. "You're next, but I'm nothing, so don't worry, I'm NOTHING!" The figure yelled as Kira ran from the room and out of the mansion. Those words, that voice, the figure seemed so familiar, but from where?
Kira came back to the house that night, since she had to pack and leave as soon as possible, she had already called the police and they would be here tomorrow morning. Kira fell asleep, worried about what she had seen. The next morning, Kira decided to see the view one last time before she left. Onto the roof she went and that's when it happened.
~Back to the present time.~
Kira looked up at the figure who was laughing and yelling something into the air, before she hit the ground, she finally heard what the words were. "AM I STILL NOTHING KIRA! AM I NOTHING TO YOU, STILL! No! NOW I AM DEATH KIRA, NOTHING HAS BECOME DEATH!" The figure was yelling. Kira was covered in blood, those were the last words in her mind, and the last face in her mind was that of her sister, but not the one she had known, this face was crazy and happy at the same time. Kira, without knowing it, had pushed her own sister to insanity. The police arrived ten minutes later and found Kira dead in a puddle of her own blood and found Rebecca in her room strangled. The headlines the next day read: Two teenage girls killed in Mansion 19. Killer...Unfound. October 19th, 2011.
Remember, everyone has a nothing.

Her Night With A Stranger
"Who is that?" "Her Majesty, Princess Melia." The whispered phrases scattered the room as the woman wearing the red mask stepped down the marble stairs to the ballroom. The luxurious, scarlet gown she wore weaved its way around her body in the most beautiful way as it formed a bell of fabric at the hip. All eyes were on the soon to be Ruler of Durem, and a wicked grin twisted its way on to Melia's perfect rose-like lips. Her golden locks fell to the middle of her back in loops so amazing that it appeared someone had drawn them. Her stunning beauty intimidated even the boldest of men, and evoked jealousy in even the most beautiful of women. No one dared approach Her Majesty, with the exception of one masked stranger. His beauty was none like the woman's. It was not exaggerated nor was it built. His was natural perfection. No time was spent washing his hair for three hours, or applying six layers of make-up to hide the flaws. The gentleman only appeared to have thrown on a white tuxedo with a white mask and have walked out the door. Surely Her Majesty would have opposed the stranger's proposal to dance. But she did not. Melia took the gentleman's hand and they waltzed with everyone (including two of the musicians) staring at them. Each step the couple took mesmerized the audience. The princess and the stranger danced in the candle-light. Melia's hair glowed like the sun, and the stranger's ebony hair caught the glow from the chandelier above. When they took their last steps, the music stopped and the room became hushed. One by one, each member of the astonished audience began to clap, and when the members resumed their dancing, Melia and the gentleman exited on to the balcony. "Are you from far away?" Her Majesty asked her companion. "Yes," he monotonously replied. "Very far." She smiled timidly and petted one of the curls on her shoulder. "I would like to see more of you, stranger. Perhaps you could come to visit me sometime this week." His eyes turned cold behind his mask. "I could not," he spoke in a very low voice. "I am needed at home, and this is the one night I could stay at Durem for very long." "And why is that?" He said nothing, but came to her and kissed her perfect lips. Melia felt her eyes grow heavy, before her mind drifted into slumber, she caught a glimpse of the man staring at the night-sky which was illuminated by the light of a single shooting star.
The next morning, Melia awakened in her bed with her nightclothes on. "Maid!" she called frantically as she leapt out of her bed on to the floor. "Maid!" One of her servants came to her door. "Yes, m'lady?" "What happened last night?" "A strange-looking man brought you in around midnight, saying you had passed out from over-exhaution. He looked very upset and simply handed you over to me." "Is that all?" "Oh, he also gave me a letter to give you." The maid handed over Melia's letter. The princess was relieved to see that the seal on it hadn't been broken. Melia read:
Dear Your Majesty,
I will not be able to return to Durem for quite a while due to an unfortunate incident that has occured within my family. I hope you will not mind that I stole your mask from last night, but whenever I look at it I will, of course, think of you, and I do not want to let go of the memories I shared with you last night. Please forgive me for my selfish desires.
You have my love, Thomas L. Botan
Melia gazed out her window as she held the letter over her heart, wondering where her Thomas and if he would ever return...

Birds of a feather, die together
The kitchen may seem to look insignificant, but there is a fate latched onto it. This is none but an omen, useless for clues. However, there is a connection to it all that links into the kitchen, death. Death is the one connection linked together with everything that makes the puppet of Mansion 19. Death occurs many places, yes, but why of all places does the kitchen have anything to do with this? It is mainly because there are many ways to kill a human in a kitchen. Knives, spoons, forks, even a salad server could kill if used correctly. Pots, pans, ovens, chemicals, poisons, if man had not found a way to use these things to his advantage a kitchen would be a death trap. The scary thing, however, is that man did use these things to his advantage. Not always for cooking, but for killing as well. Murders strike people over and over. This is because, “Those whom do not learn from history, are doomed, always, to repeat it.” No one learns from murders, yet they try, they always fail. Failure from learning from a murder is a good way to get your bloody corpse on Action News. Haven’t you always wanted to be on TV? Not what you had in mind. That is what is used against you, what you had in mind isn’t right. Now I’m straying away from my story though. There is bound to be a murder in the kitchen, for there will always be one person, just one person, who has, “just had enough.” First, there will be a note. Then, there will be a meeting. Soon after that, the evidence will all be mainly destroyed and the murder will occur. This shall happen in the kitchen because as I have said before it is a death trap. “Why that exact order?” you ask. I’ve already told you that, only once more shall I repeat it, “Those whom do not learn from history, are doomed, always, to repeat it.”
A tale by Woozl based off of clues I have found.

Story of a mutant girl...
"MOM! Look out!!!" Jaci's heart was in her throat...Doesn't she see the truck?! She watched in horror as she realized what was about to happen. "MOM Noooo!" Jaci eyes went yellow as she tried to use her powers...but the truck was too big...it was going too fast.... "MOM!!" She jerked upright. Suddenly, she was back in her room...the morning breeze with a hint of honeysuckle streamed through her window...a carefree robin singing in a nearby tree. Jaci groaned as she collapsed on her pillow again. When will these nightmares stop...it's been almost a year now... There was a thud beside her. She looked down. Her CD player was there, a dent in the left speaker. Jaci's eyes grew big. I must've been using my powers in my sleep again! She sighed. I hope I don't get caught someday... "Wake up, sleepy head!" Jaci's little sister Courtney banged on her door, "today's the day you leave for your new school at that creepy Mansion..." "I'm up!" annoyed by the happy tone of her sister's voice. She's been planning for the day I move out ever since she could talk..."Oh well," Jaci said to her self, "at least I don't have to worry about her anymore." As she got dressed for the day and finished packing a few last items, Jaci remembered back to the strange events of the day before...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Tis a far, far better thing I do than I have ever done..." When Jaci was engrossed in a story, she was completely oblivious to all that went on in the outside world...that included the ringing of the phone... "Jaci!" She was instantly jerked out of 18th century France by the annoying voice of her sister. "What do you want, Courtney?" she said, completely annoyed at her for ruining the moment. "Well, excuse me for caring about my sister becoming a hermit, never coming out to see the light of day! Ya know, you really should practice your socializeability more," came the reply from behind the door. Jaci rolled her eyes. "That isn't even a word! And if you spent more time studying than practicing your 'socializeability', you'd realize that your feeble attempts at trying to participate in intellegent conversations only go to exaggerate your pathetic lack of mental abilities." Jaci smiled at the silence that came from behind the door. No one could ever match her for words. She heard her sister turn to leave when there was a sudden retort, "I suppose you don't care then, that I've got the phone," there was a short silence, "and David happens to be on the other end!" Jaci's eyes widened. She jumped up and flung open the door. "Why didn't you say David was on the phone?!" she snapped, grabbing the phone and slamming the door at the same time. "David?" "Hey, Sis!" her brother's voice sounded from the other end, "Sounds like you and Courtney are up to the same old stuff..." Jaci rolled her eyes, "Yeah, whatever..." was the reply as she flopped back onto her bed. "So, how's Annapolis?" A pang of homesickness for her older brother went through her as she said it. "School's good, the tests can get tough though...it's been a little rainy lately," he added with a tone of jest, "And don't think I didn't see that eye roll, either!" She smiled, "Nothin' gets past you does it?" David laughed, "That's right, and don't you forget it!" "I won't..." she giggled. She could hear a bell ringing in the back ground. "Well," he said, "that's the roll call...see ya later Kiddo, I'll call back soon, ok?" "K, bye," she waited till she heard the click on his end before hanging up. She sighed. It seemed like an eternity before he'd be back from military school...until then, she'd have to put up with Courtney alone. At least we don't have to share a room... Jaci shuddered at the thought. She picked up her book again. Her Mom always used to say that sometimes, it was easier reading about other people's problems 'cause it made you forget your own. It was quite awhile before she was interrupted again...this time, the doorbell. "Jaci!" her father's voice called up the stairs. She sighed. "Back to reality," she mumbled to herself as she snapped the book shut..."Coming!" Before going down stairs, Jaci stopped in front of the mirror...not that she cared to primp or anything, but it didn't hurt to check yourself sometimes...no use scaring people. She stared at the tall 15 year old girl looking back at her; almost the spitting image of her father...same straight nose, same determined chin, same quirk of the eyebrows that said she never quite believed what she saw...except her eyes, those were her mom's. Jaci bit her bottom lip as she finished putting her hair up. I don't have time to think about Mom right now... She heard strange voices as she came down the stairs. A wealthy looking man she'd never seen before was talking with her father. There was a girl, who looked to be about Jaci's age standing behind him. Jaci didn't have to wonder about them for long. "Oh, here she is now," the colonel replied to the man as he spotted his daughter, "Jaci, I'd like you to meet an old friend of mine...he's the owner of that old masion outside of town." Jaci shook the man's hand, "Nice to meet you, sir," she said, still confused as to why he was here. Friends of her father's were usually from work and they rarely came to the house. "The pleasure is mine," he replied, smiling. Well, he seems nice enough... But there was something about the way he looked at her, it was almost as if he could see right through her. It made her feel vulnerable and she didn't like it... The strange man continued, "I suppose you're curious as to the nature of this visit..." He looked at her. Jaci nodded, still having the erie feeling. "Well, I shall keep you in suspense no longer..." he said, looking to the colonel. "Jake, you know very well that I intend to renovate the Mansion and turn it into a private school...I believe your daughter is very talented and I would like to invite her to stay at Mansion 19's Institute for the Gifted," he paused for a reply. Jaci's head reeled. What does he mean, "gifted"? "Talented, eh?" her father questioned. Jaci almost paniced. He surely can't mean that! Before he could say anything else, she quickly said, "You mean my music, right?" Nervously, she glanced sideways at the colonel. "Yes," the man paused as if choosing the right words, "that and some other talents." Jaci gave a silent sigh of relief as he and her father continued conversing. That was close! Her secret was still safe, though she wondered if this man really liked her music...or if his intent was different. "So then, it's settled," her father's voice startled her, "You'll leave for Mansion 19 in the morning." "What?!" Jaci was certain she'd missed something while deep in thought. "I think this opportunity will be good for you," the colonel stated, "And while I think music is hardley to be considered a real career choice, I believe being around people your own age, with your own interests will do you some good." She just stood there, in stunned silence, not entirely believeing what she'd just heard. Her father's voice softened, "Jaci, you haven't been the same since your mother passed away...you've been keeping to yourself more and more, reading your books and playing your music, locked in your room...we've all been worried about you. I think you need to be away from home for a while." Jaci started chewing her thumb, it was a bad habit when she felt unsettled. Why'd he have to bring up Mom... She looked up. For the first time, she noticed the girl she'd seen earlier. "You'll like the school," the girl said shyly, "We all fit in there." Jaci's eyes narrowed. What did the girl mean by "we"? "Well, if you're going to leave in the morning you'd better get packing." The colonel's voice jerked her away from her thoughts. She tilted her chin up and said," Yes, sir..." turned, and went upstairs. Could they possibly know? She hadn't ever told anyone...not even David, not even her mother...especially not her father, she knew how he felt about mutants. Jaci shook her head as she entered her room. She grabbed a suitcase and started throwing in clothes. Deep in thought, Jaci realized something. Hmmmm...I don't remember their names. I guess I must not have paid attention to introductions... But as she thought about it further, she was quite sure. No, he didn't give his name...I'm sure of it...There's something creepy about that guy She thought about talking to her father. No, he'd just laugh and say it wasn't like me to be afraid of people...besides Dad said he was a friend... Still, there was a weird feeling in the pit of Jaci's stomach as she remembered some of the rumors about that place. So many mysteries...Suddenly, she felt her resolve harden. There's definately something strange about all this and I'm going to find out what's behind it all...besides, I'm a mutant...What's ths worst that could happen? As she was packing, Jaci glanced at the book still laying on her bed. Well, you've always wanted to be part of an adventure... She answered her self aloud, "But my own adventure is turning out to be quite unexpected..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jaci was snapped out of her ponderings back to the present. Outside, she heard her father drive up, waiting to take her and their visitors to the Mansion. "Tell David where to call," she told her sister as she stepped onto the front porch, "Daddy's got the number..." "Alright, ya know, it's not gonna be the same without you here..." Jaci looked at her sister. Sometimes she can be ok I guess... She smiled at her younger sibling. Courtney continued, "So, can I have your room?" Jaci scowled, then again..."Not on your life! And if I find anything different when I get back, you're gonna wish you were someone else's sister!" Courtney smirked and flounced off. Her father honked the horn of the car, "Time to go kiddo!" She looked at the house for a final goodbye. Then she turned toward the car and threw her bag in the trunk and slid into the back seat. Well, here goes nothin'...

((This is a story I wrote around the time the first X-men movie came out...I adapted it for Mansion 19 though...I always intended to write a sequel but never did...It leaves room for the imagination...Hmmm...I might work on it later))

The vigil
When I was a boy my grandfather told me of what is now known as Mansion 19, and one of its many rooms. This room being an old bedroom, actually it was room 61, back when the mansion used to be a hotel. What I have been told, is that something about this room... was wrong. I was told how that anyone who stayed in the room over night died, or at least very soon after. If a person did happen to die in that room their gaze would always be fixed on one spot in the corner. Several times other things have been seen associated with that room. A woman hanging from its window ledge is the most prominent sighting, usually from the garden outside. There is also rumors that many years before a girl threw herself out of the window of the room impailing herself on the gate below, to escape from her cruel uncle. I know this must sound weird and probably makes no sense to you. Its all ghost stories I know, but let me tell you one story my grandfather told me.
Many years ago while my grandfather was a young man, he and his family were invited as guests along with others to the mansion for a regional party. This is of course before the mansion was used as a hotel for that short period. Hearing the talk of this room one guest announced that he would spend a nightly vigil there, also stating that he did not "believe in ghosts." The end of the party came and the man went up to his newly set out room to rest locking the door, against the wishes of the owners. Nothing much was heard from him for the rest of the night. Yet at three o clock in the morning the servant bell for that room was heard ringing wildly, but then stopped soon after. The servants rushed up to the room to find the door unlocked, but the man was missing. The window however was open. The servants soon found the man outside... impailed on the iron railings below. This room was and most likely still is apparently inhabited by an evil so terrible that others who have survived their stays have never spoken of it again. It is now apparently blocked off from the rest of the house, so I guess we will never know???
The End
- A short story by Xin. - Based on true events. - Maybe this could open a new basis of the past of the mansion?

“This is an old mansion,” had become Sheshira’s mantra as she crept down the dimly-lit hallway, candle-strewn shadows flickering by a gentle draft that followed Sheshira as she continued the lengthy hallway.
“Eeh,” Sheshira shrieked quietly, “when did this hallway get so long!”
The hallway creaked violently letting out a long moan. “It’s only the house settling on the foundation,” Sheshira said to herself forcedly, almost too forcedly as trying to feign courage to the unseen around her. That night was different, the hairs on her neck pricked with anticipation and she shuddered so violently she cracked her spine.
Too much had been happening at the mansion and in Gaia. The aliens had come on the 19th of October and almost instantly their intentions were questioned. Unfortunately, with the behavior of some of the UFO’s it made everyone very nervous about a possible invasion. Then there was the taboo love between a fellow Gaian and a UFO which resulted in the disappearance of the UFO. Sheshira frowned as she had read some of the transmissions of the UFO and was convinced the UFO running away was merely a disguise for his being abducted and forcedly sent home by his brothers and sisters. It made her a little sad. She hated to see that the love was going to be a bittersweet love marred by feelings of anger and betrayal. If they were to ever be reunited, they both would have to sacrifice quite a lot.
The spookiness of the hallway brought Sheshira to attention once again. Then she saw it, and she felt at once her knees weaken. Sheshira swore to herself. How did she end up here? The locked door that belonged to room 119 loomed dangerously to the side of her and Sheshira looked slowly towards it. It was illuminated with the light of the other world. A soft gray light flickered underneath the door and Sheshira felt mesmerized by it. She continued to stare, her mind screaming, “Of ALL places to end up!” especially on a very Stephen-King-like-night such as this one, she had to end here. She could feel the air around her become colder and heavier; a burden laid on her chest making it more and more difficult to breath. As cold as she was, she could feel droplets of sweat pool in the small of her back when she heard it.
Moans.
She let out a giant-sized shriek. “OMG!” Sheshira screamed, surely the ghost would have her now and make her join his world.
“I’m too young to die,” Sheshira cried loudly, whimpering, “don’t take me, please, don’t take me!”
A door creaked open causing Sheshira to jump.
It was door 120 from directly across room 119.
“Oi!” A unrecognizable man shouted, “mind taking your shite elsewhere, the missus and I are busy.”
A fit of giggles could be heard in the background.
Sheshira looked mortified and absolutely embarrassed. She could only offer her sorry’s and when she turned back to look at room 119 the eerie gray light was gone.
She cocked her head to one side and in attempt to lighten the frightening situation she had found herself in a few minutes ago simply whispered, “maybe the ghost is a voyeur?”
-An embaressing situtation that arose from being scared out of my mind because we need some humor, no?

The cold dark, it sends shivers down my spine, and yet, excites my darker side. Everybody knows of the deaths in the drawing room. Yet here I sit alone as the fire pops slowly at my side. I shudder looking at the blood stained rug, surly I was mad to be along is such a dank room with a history as this. And yet, I’m drawn here as if my purpose resides in this room. Scary as it sounds, I know it’s true. Glancing to my hands they shake as I hear a rap come from the door. “Miss Emmi, are you in there?” calls a voice from the other side. Jerking my mind back to reality I grab the knife at my side. “Come in..” my voice is barely loud as a whisper by now. As the door squeaks open one of the many maids smiles as she enters setting down a tray with refreshments down at my side. “You been here all night, you should come out now and join the others.” She says giving me a small smile. “I belong here..” I reply only moving slightly to grab the knife tighter. Looking perplexed she glances into my cold blue eyes. “What on earth do you --” But her word cut off by the knife in her throat, holding it…none other then myself. As I let her body fall to the floor, I sit back shaking in terror as I look to my reflection, but what I see…isn’t me at all. Flashing a devilish grin the women in the mirror looks down to the body.
“I guess we finally know who is responsible for the murders.” She says softly with another smirk as I resume my seat on the floor only hoping another knock doesn’t come--
Knock, knock. “Miss Emmi?” To late…

It was a dark stormy night, the wind was howling, the moon, covered by the dark clouds was almost a new moon, and Julia Sherik was walking, in the freezing rain, she looks up from under her soaked hood, and saw a big, mansion, with lightning striking behind it. She mutters o what the heck, ill take the chance..
Julia walks through the door, and it slams. Julia runs ti the door and tries to open it but finds that it is stuck. she decides to take a chance and walks up stairs. Julia hears a door slam and looks around nervously, then walks down stairs, looking around nervously all the time, she finds a chair and sits in it, and asks her gwee to light the room. Gwee lights the room then a dark shadow falls across the room, Julia looks up, then screams a silent scream, and then looks at the shadow again.
To be continued...... (possibly)
