I need help finding out some information and I didn't know where else to turn to, other than my guild members. I know a lot of you are more experienced than I and I was hoping that you could possibly help me.
I need information regarding homeschooling. My mother is getting tired of the school I go to with it's constant rules changing, hatred against me for what I am, and retarted teachers who won't help me anymore.
We need to find a homeschooling possibly online, but way cheap. Under-$300-a-year-cheap. I've looked online for the past 2 hours or so and can only find two good ones, but they charge a good $200-$300 a month and my mom can't do that. I did find some that charged less, but they were the Christian ones and I wouldn't feel comfortable in a Christian Homeschooling or even regular school for the fact that they would be teaching about God and such, when I don't believe in it.
Currently, she makes about $5 an hour, with possible tips, 6 days a week for a good 10 hours. But, she has to pay for my lunches at school, her new car, the house, electricity, etc. As a waitress, she doesn't make much. Tips are what we live off and right now she only makes about $75-150 a night and then it's variant.
I would deeply appreciate any help that anyone can get me. I've missed too many days of school at my school to pass and the school dislikes me.
Oh, and if it's needed: I'm 14, in 9th grade, taking advanced classes (Geometry, World Geography, etc.) and I was in Communication App., ROTC, and Webmastering for electives. I'm not worried about my electives currently, however, as Communication App. was speech and I have no problem with speech, ROTC was for the Army and I don't need to worry about that right now, and Webmastering was merely learning HTML and such, which I can learn in my spare time, as I did before.

I've looked and all I can find is the local place called Pine Forest, but it's a Christian Academy and I refuse to lie to those people just to be homeschooled. It's not right to me, but to my mom it is. stare Some good person, eh?

I have heard that some Christian private schools and the like actually provide excellent education, aside from worship which imho takes that education back. The only difference you would find is that evolution isn't exactly liked in Christian studies, and sex-ed gets all messed up... Other than that, I have heard that most courses are virtually un-interfered with by religion. Look into that program, and see if you can be a non-Christian and still take the courses anyway. There are apparently a few non-Christians at my friend's college, which is a private Christian all-girls school. (She's a single lesbian. biggrin ) Test it out. Look into it a little more. Let me know. ^.~

Let me know. ^.~ I talked to one of my friends, a girl that goes there, and she said that it is strictly Christians. To get in, you must be baptized by them, memorize at least 7 quotes from the bible, pray every Sunday and Wednesday in church after school, and a bunch of other things. She told me that even if I did lie during all this, I couldn't do any of my rituals or keep my Satanic Bible with me. It's got a dorm I would have to stay in, with 4 other girls. x.x; And me being Bi-sexual and a Satanist wouldn't go well with that.
