I think Katara rocks because she has awsome waterbending skills. Does any body else like Katara?

I do! Katara doesn't get enough credit from the fanbase, though. Whenever she's nice, people claim she's a Mary-Sue, and when she shows flaws, people bash her for it. I think the fact that Katara can be mature while still having her snapping points makes her rock.
Plus, her waterbending is pretty cool. biggrin

She held together the gAang really well during their treck through the desert. Her waterbending skills are amazing. She looks so beautiful with her hair down.
Of course I respect her and think she totally rocks!

A Mary-Sue is a character with absolutely no flaws (except for cop-out ones like being too sweet or too caring) and who's primary function is to make male characters fall in love with her. They're pretty common in fanfiction.
There's probably a better explanation, but that's what I've come to understand.
