Everyone asks my I smoke Menthol Cigs (Kools). "They're for black people", They say. Why are they only for black people? Or why do blacks perfer Mentols?That's just what I started on.

Me and a guy I go to school with smoke Kools and we're white...
I also prefer menthols and again I am caucasian.
*sigh* Everything is a race issue nowadays isn't it?

I don't know why people think that either. I'm also Caucasian and I smoke Menthols, though not usually Kools.

i think that stereotype comes from the usual smokers of newports, which is, not to generalize, black guys or white stoners. haha.
but then again, there is evidence to the contrary in either situation, so i don't know whatdafuxup.

thats a steriotype now...im black and i like menthols...i dont feel blacker smoking them...its just that the new ports are smoothe...what ever im so done with racial profiling...im just as good as a white guys asian guy idian guy or anything else...and they are just as goo as me..rofl xd done with people and their bullshit.

I'm with lonelyfrench,it's the smoker's stereotype.I'm Hispanic/Asian,and I perfer menthols.And one of my black friends doesn't.No big thing.

i have a black friend we both smoke menthols i asked him about the sterotype and he said most blacks prefer there to be flavor in the cigarettes and laughed pirate

I prefere normal ciggi's but my mum loves her menthol. Alot of people in england smoke menthol, better taste aparently, Hell you can even get menthol filters for rollies xD

I think that's a stupid saying, I love smoking the odd menthol ciggy. Actually, I had a period where I smoked nothing but mints, I started smoking more heavily though because of the great taste and eventually I wasn't even feeling the listerine-like cooling in my throat anymore. I just ended up becoming an even heavier smoker then I was before. whee
So now I stick to my PJ's and the odd pack of B and H. I don't like them as much as the menthols so I don't smoke in upwards of 2 packs a day.
