 Story
It is a land of myths, a place where beasts of all shape and sizes live in peace together. From human to vampires, to sea serpants and centaurs, the mythical creatures for a child's story book come to life. Now you may be wondering, how is this place so peaceful with all the different races?
Well, simply this: there are peacekeepers. They are also known as the Dragon Riders. Every generation, a child is picked to be the partner of a dragon. But not just any child. One child is picked from his or her race (ex. one vampire dragon rider, one human dragon rider, etc). These dragons, onced hatched, they pick the child that they wish to stay with until the rest of their days. Once a dragon picks a child, the two form a strong bond together. The dragon riders are then trained on how to fight and how to care for their dragons. They are also taught magic, according to their dragon. Each generation, 8 special dragon are hatched, one for each of the elements fire, earth, water, air, ice, electricty, darkness, and light. Their human partner must learn how to use the same element as the dragon. The dragon riders must then train with one another to become a strong team.
For a while, they have trained the dragon riders, but nothing serious has happened in this land of myths. But now, evil has sprung up from the land. Demons and other dark creatures are killing innocent people and other mythical creatures. But this evil is a far greater threat than any other evil. And the new dragon riders are inexperienced and know very little about their elements. Not to mention, they're teenagers!! Bonds will form along with rivalries. But will the new dragon riders be able to stop the evil? It's up to you.

Setting
Ok, I'm not going to make the whole setting cause this isn't just my rp. So get creative with it, alright? Basically, it's back in the time were people used swords, axes, etc. So no guns, cars, skyscrapers, etc.
Just imagine a mystical world. Lush, green forests with trees five times the size of an elephant and wide branches. In some areas, the trees grow so close together that that part of the forest never sees the sun except from spaces between branches and leaves. Shafts of light sparkle down in certain areas of this part of the forest, but it's dark in most parts.
In another areas, the trees are more spread out, but the forest is just as beautiful. It's one of those places you can sit in the tree. When the wind ruffles, it shakes the branches and the leaves and plays with your hair and kisses your cheeks.
There are long fields that seem to go on forever. The grass is tall most areas. This is where you'd find a lot of hooved animals grazing. Whenever a breeze shakes the grass, it looks like a green oceans with ripples moving along its surface.
There are magestic mountains that tower over the world. Cliffs stick out from the sides of some, and many have caves. This is a good place for a dragon with/ or without its rider. It gives a good view of the field below.
If you travel a ways, eventually, you'll come to the beautiful ocean that surrounds the massive island. The water is so clear in some areas that you can see the sand sparkle under the surface and the fish as they swim by. In other areas, the water is a little darker. There are secret coves along the beach. The sand is a soft yellow color and warms your feet at day and chills your feet at night. The waves make such a wonder song as they crash against the beach and then pull back.
There are lakes and ponds scattered throughout the island, as well as towns. There is a large city where a king rules, but we'll find out about him later perhaps. There is a smaller town by the mountains where the dragons and their riders live. It's a beautiful world where anything is possible and mystical beings live with each other, some peacefully, others not. But that's when the dragon riders come in.
