I'm just wondering, for the sake of curiosity, what do your parents think about Invader Zim?
My parents are indifferent, but they don't really like the 'dark' colors and themes of the story...
Here's some dialogue I thought was fun:
Dad: Lemme see that DVD we got you for your birthday
Me: *runs into my room to get DVD*
Dad: 'Horrible Holiday Cheer' ... So, is this like the Nightmare Before Christmas
Me: No, that was creepier (I have bad memories of that movie...) But I like this one, because it has my favourite character in it. *points to Almighty Tallest Purple*
Dad: It looks just the same as all the other characters
Me: No he isn't! He's tall! And purple!
Dad: Oh... okay... *rolls eyes and walks away*
My birthday is today. WORSHIP ME!!!

My mom loves it too. 3nodding xd
At work, on her office door, there's a thing people have to sign if they take something (she orders medical supplies). And next to it is a set of directions, and on the bottom it has a picture of Zim and the caption, "You! OBEY THE FIST!" It's hilarious, and everyone she works with thinks she's nuts. It's great. xd

my mom and dad like it but... they only like it. hahaha i loooove it. and i've forced them to watch it so i suppose i force them to like it haha xd my mom likes Almighty Tallest Purple. haha mostly cause she likes the guy who does the voice hahaha

Oh, they tolerate it I suppose. My dad thinks it's twisted (maybe I shouldn't have shown him the Halloween episode right off the bat?) and I suppose he's right. xd

My mom knows I love the show, so she's fine with it as long as my obsession is IZ and not drugs or something.
Her and my dad don't like to watch it that much. If I'm in the middle of watching an episode they'll let me finish watching but that's it. They think it's another Ren and Stimpy (which they thought was a mature, but pointless, and disgusting cartoon). So my answer is they know of it, but don't care to watch it that much.

My dad is confused by it and my mom is terrified by it. She's like "Argh! They scream too much and scare me and give me a headache!"
On the other hand, my grandma watched it a few times and she loved it. xd

I think the whole parental thing seems to have depended on the first episode. The first Zim clip my dad ever saw was when Keef's eyes were being torn out in Bestest Friends. I think my mom just saw parts of TAK, but didn't seem to care. She just made comments on how my suited Gir plushie looked creepy.
My friend's first episode she showed her parents was Halloween Spectacular... heh... that was a big mistake...
And on a completely different note, my birthday ROCKED! I got the Ride the Pig pillowcase, a Zim pen, and two Zim shirts (including the one with a shadow of Tallest Purple in the background... God, I love Purple...)

My mom laughs when she happns to watch it. Which only happens when I am watching it, but she thinks that it's very dark, and that some episodes are gross. Like Dark Harvest. By the whay, Almighty Tallest Purple, if you are truely what your name says you are... why aren't you wearing any purple?
