Now I personally am for wind turbines even though they are not good at storing energy, they are quite efficient at making it. I think there should be lots more wind farms around, however one of the arguments against them is that they are not aesthetically pleasing. Why? Why do people make such stupid arguments? Do they wat to carry paying the rising payments? Does it even matter how they look?
I have no idea, though I think we should have more. Do you agree?

Actually I think that wind turbines are beautiful. Also it is irrelevant. Nuclear power stations are incredibly ugly. I prefer an eco friendly way of creating energy, anyday.

My thoughts exactly. However, nuclear power is good except for the waste.

I love wind turbines - the wind is a totally environmentally friendly and renewable energy source. I don't think we make enough use of it here in the UK.
Where I live, there are plans to build two wind farms nearby. I hope they get built but there are some local people who oppose them (NIMBYs), unfortunatly. sad

I think wind turbines look really nice. The arguement that some people find them unattractive is ridiculous in my opinion. That shouldn't even come into it because, the fact is, we need to start creating more renewable energy sourses.

I know, it's just sad that people use it as one, though what's evem worse is that the authorities take it into consideration.

I wrote a poem about wind turbines once lol
In my local paper an anti-windfarm campaigner had written in describing turbines as 'industrial-looking monsters'. It annoyed me and inspired me to write a poem. It's not great but I was just trying to make the point that some of us like they way they look 3nodding
Wind Farm Wonder
Majestic blades glisten in the evening sun, Celestial and angelic white, Shining like a beacon of hope, A magical, radiant sight,
Busy turning, hard working, steady and true, Non-polluting, Still producing energy that’s clean, Eco friendly, safe and green, Love our turbines – they will see us through.
Sculptures in the open land, Elegance surpassing art, Beauty beyond words, A vision for our future, Inspiring wonder and awe, Please build us more.

That's a pretty poem! Very good indeed...
I think they're going to make a wind farm near us soon, at least I hope so anyway.
