As everyone who is up-to-date with the Manga should know, Asuma, the leader of Team Ino [10] died. As they tried to bring him back. And Ino tried to use her Medical Ninjutsu, she couldnt save him. He went out with a bang though. Telling Ino, not to lose to Sakura. To watch over Chouji and Shikamaru. Told Chouji that he has a heart of gold, and maybe should go on a diet. Leaving some humor. Then he told Shikamaru something inportant. Who the "King" was. Revering to Chess. Then ending with smoking the same ciggerettes that he quit.

Now Id like to know, what do you think the effect will be on Team 10. Especially Ino. Why I say that is more then she is the girl. As we have seen, Medical Ninja's are meant to heal. Though, Ino couldnt do it. And knowing her, Kishimoto is probably going to make her blame herself for his death.

How do you think Ino is going to deal with Asuma-sensei's death?

oh great, now I'm crying! I knew Asuma was dead, but I didn't think it'd be that hard...this is the second time I've cried over Naruto...oh dammit...

That's so sad...

Ino will most likely take it out on herself first, but soon Sakura will probably help her realize it wasn't her fault...friendships are everlasting. But all of team 10 has been affected greatly...It hurts them all, I'm sure, worse than it hurt me.

I think I would have to agree with that being part of Ino's development. Look at it like this:

Ino wants to be strong, stronger than Sakura, so she has to do everything Sakura is doing plus more. When she has the chance to show off her Medical skills I highly doubt she was hoping nor expecting it to be on Asuma. She couldn't do it, so of course she will blame herself. Even Shikamaru and Chouji would if they were in her position, being the only one that really could save Asuma.
Ino, like most girls though, will need some extra comforting. She will need to know it wasn't her fault Asuma died, because in all reality I really don't think he would've been saved either way. That was a big challenge for her, something she just wasn't ready for. She wasn't prepared for it, of course how many people would be? So, in a short summary, I think Ino will be having a hard time, she will be in need of comforting.And Chouji can step in and make her feel better! heart

Like doctors, I think medical nins have to deal with death a lot, and in a ninja village, mortality rates has got to be high. Dying isn't a rare thing (not that they won't mourn; they're ninjas, not robots after all).

As such, while I do think Ino will feel guilty for it, I can't see her being overly emotional (if anything, shouldn't the emotional one be Shikamaru? He's the one who was there during the fight, the one with the capability to maybe protect Asuma but couldn't). She's a ninja and she's always been the confident sort. She's also Team 10's leader, so I think she'll use this to make herself and her team even stronger. She's the best kunoichi in the Rookie 9, after all. Gotta hold on to the title, especially now that her sensei has explicitly told her not to lose.
