Just out of curiosity, how many of you have actually seen the DNAngel anime? I've seen up to episode 14...which upsets me, as it was a HORRIBLE cliffhanger. crying

hehe... i have the DVD import box set, so ive seen the whole thing... great stuff ^-^, sad ending gonk ....but at the same time they seem to pull off making everyone think that everything is all ok gonk .

Yeah - I've heard the ending really gets ya. *wants to see so BAD!* Majorly bummed that the place where I get my fansubs from stopped selling it. crying Should have gotten it all when I got the chance.
BUT - is it just me, or is the anime more...shounen ai-ish than the manga? oO; I mean DAMN! Satoshi-kun starts hitting on Dai at the get go. Granted, he's trying to get to Dark, but...STILL. He's awful touchy-feely about it.

Ya, I've seen the whole thing, and didn't like it at all untill the huge group of filler eps was over with and Satoshi was back. I will say that they did the second hand of time arch really quite well, and the ending was also quite good, depite how poorly the whole thing started.
most deffinatly more shonen-ai-ish. I mean, it even has built in fangirl for it. the dream sceen, the freezer sceen, the pool sceen, the beach sceen, even the last ep....ya, deffinetly more. and satoshi plays along with it, which is halarious.
And quiestion....why does satoshi have a bath tube under his stair way? O_o you see it in ep 4.

Perhaps from imagery? ._.; *shrugs*
What confuses and bothers me, tho, is how a lot of people don't like the Japanese voice cast. I *adore* Satoshi and Daisuke's seiyuu...and Dark couldn't ask for a better voice! I think they were just perfect really, and don't know why people b***h about it. xp

*sniff* I feel like I'm the only one here who hasn't seen it yet.
The first DVD volume is on my Christmas list, though, and I do have the first soundtrack. And I've seen some of the pictures for the anime...Satoshi looks absolutely scrumptious. heart

The English voice cast is pretty impressive, too! Some of the dub voices from Saiyuki (if you've seen it) are doing the DNAngel guys.
Greg Ayres as Satoshi Hiwatari
Hilary Haag as Riku Harada
Illich Guradiola as Krad
Jason Douglas as Detective Saehara
John Swasey as Daiki Niwa
Kelly Manison as Emiko Niwa
Kevin Corn as Daisuke Niwa
Kira Vincent-Davis as Takeshi Saehara
Luci Christian as Risa Harada
Mariela Ortiz as With and Yuki Suzaki
Vic Mignogna as Dark
Greg Ayres is my current favorite English VA, but I'm a little apprehensive about him playing Satoshi. He usually plays upbeat characters - as he has a very energetic voice - but I've yet to see him as Kaworu in Evangelion so who's to say? (I met him at AnimeIowa and he was absolutely ADORABLE! He’s very perky and jumpy and happy - I’d rather he’d have played Daisuke than Satoshi, really. o_o;; ) Vic Mignogna is the same guy that did Kougaiji (in Saiyuki) and has a pretty impressive resume. (He's even doing Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist!)
Overall - since I'm not very familiar with a lot of the VA that were chosen - I'm trying to save my criticism until I actually see it. Mostly, I fear that Daisuke will come off too weak and Satoshi too slaphappy. ADV does impressive dubbing work, however, so...I'm not *too* afraid. sweatdrop
edit: Ooh...><; Hilary Haag did Lirin in Saiyuki - AND Milk-chan in Super Milk-chan. The apprehension is rising...
