Around where I live they are like banning black cats so you cant adopt one during this week because of halloween. They said that its so people dont sacrifice them. I thought this was a little bit funny, is it like this where other people live?

nope, my mom has a black cat though. His name is Cinders, I keep my two orange cats inside though I don't want any devil worshiping freaks getting any ideas acctually its more like I don't want any of my b*****d neighbors gutting my cat for a joke. because my neighbors are assholes like that.
Funny though everyone thinks that I will be the one to sacrafice an animal because I'm a Satanist no one seems to understand the diffrence between devil worshippers and Satanists and then not all devil worshippers are bad either!
life is ******** confusing.

I love black cats. They're adorable...I just wish I wasn't one step below fatally allergic to them. Sadly, people have killed Black cats around here because they believed them to be very bad luck. It isn't devil worshippers that kill them, its the redneck and/or extreme Christians that do it.

I have a few black cats. Nothing like that happening where I live. I'd kill anyone if they killed my cats. stare This was a year or so ago when a couple of my cats were only kittens.

I work with animals and have mentored at the local animal control. Black cats (well, cats in general) do have a higher incidence of being tortured and hurt around Halloween.
This is not the work of true Satanists of course. It's jerks and mostly kids who think they're being cool.
We've had incidences locally of cats getting their tails cut off, skinned, shot, hung, dragged, etc.
Sickos.
We always kept our cats -- including our several black cats -- in on Halloween.

Same here, I would beat the brakes off of them. Good. Actually, this kind of abuse happened to one of my cats, Pickles -- but not on Halloween and not a black cat. It was more the beginning of the school year, if I remember correctly, many years ago. He was shot by a pellet gun. It shattered his elbow (which is high up on a cat, near the rib cage) and his spine at the base of his tail. He had to have his leg amputated, and his tail is paralyzed. Amazingly, the pellet that shattered his spine settled in his abdomen, without hurting any of his internal organs. He's still alive, he lives with my mom. He's about 13 now, I think (I'd have to pull the vet records for sure). He got along great with three legs for years, but now has terrible arthritis from using his body in such an unnatural way for so long. He can't jump up and down from things anymore (he could for a long time). I guess some people would jump to the conclusion of "satanists". We, of course, knew it was just some kids who are BAD BAD people who deserve to be punished. We'll never knew who did it. I am heavily involved in animal rescue, as animals are pretty much my life. It's sick that kids will get kittens and then abuse them because they think they're being awesome satanists or something. Bastards. At any rate, my cat now is indoor-only. I will never have a cat that goes outside again -- there are too many risks. Cars, idiots, diseases, other animals. The way Pickles suffered will never happen to another of my animals again, if I can help it.

Yea I remember last year when I had to go to this redneck school because of the storm, and someone took a cat and hooked it up on the flag pole by its neck I think and the cat strangled and they shot at it with blue painballs and shot up the sidewalk.

It was more the beginning of the school year, if I remember correctly, many years ago. That's horrible that happened to your cat... But eek ... One of my black and white cats' name is Pickles also. All our cats are indoor... Not for the sickos, but we don't want them to get in fights with other cats. Pickles is the only one that always wants out though... The others have gotten used to it. The poor cat always tries to sneak out but we just can't let him out... We have like 15 strays living in our yard and he does not get along well with other cats. None of my cats have ever been hurt by any assholes out there while they lived outside... And I'm thankful for that. All the cats that live in my house were strays that we found and fed and eventually just took in. The most recent ones, the ones I showed the picture of, were fully wild... Born in the wild and raised by wild parents. But yeah... Terrible people out in the world. Why the hell do they do it? I guess they just want to feel as they have power over something's life. Well I say their life should be taken. If it were up to me, it would be an eye for an eye for people that abuse animals. Cruel, cold-hearted mother ********.
