Greetings!
I am Tellah, host of the PPC on the FF forum.
Abbreviations aside, we're bringing the contest to the Convergence and seeing if we don't find a whole new set of fun comedians to hang out with here!
The basic gist of the contest is; I post a pic or concept, you parody it. Sound simple? Well, sorta. In the tradition of places like Somethingawful.com and FARK.com, you take the image (or any portion of it) and mold it into something that'll make us all have a good chuckle. And that's the point of the contest. We all have a good laugh, and hopefully make some friends in the process, eh?
There's a couple of Rules and guidelines for your perusal:
FAQ
Q.) How do I enter?
A.) To enter, all you do is read the first page and see what the current concept is, and parody away! make an image that parodies the original, or modify the original image in a way that produces laughter. It's that simple, really.
Q.) What image format do you accept?
A.) We accept image formats that are viewable through web browsers: JPG, GIF, and PNG. If you could only make a BMP, post a link to your entry and someone will convert it to another format for you.
Q.) Where should I upload my pic to?
A.) Photobucket is a great place to manage many of your pics but require a registration. You could instead upload to imageshack.
Q.) What are the image size restrictions?
A.) If the image stretches more than 800px width-wise post a link to your image instead. Do the same if your image is more than 200 kb large. This is to aid in not stretching the screen and easing use for 56k users.
Q.) I want to make an animated GIF! How do I do it?
A.) To make an animated GIF, use either of the following programs:
Ulead GIF Animator
Microsoft GIF Animator
GIF Movie Gear
Adobe ImageReady
Q.) How many entries can I put at a time?
A.) You could only enter 3 entries per contest.

Let's kick off the convergence version of the contest with this image:  Basically, a free for all. Take the image, and have fun with it!

I'm also not the brightest crayon in the box when it comes to computer literacy... I'm not even sure I have the stuff to make images.

I'm not even sure I have the stuff to make images. That's a shame. Well, I hope that won't stop you from perusing this thread, and/or trying to figure out image programs on your compy... (May I suggest MS Paint?)

I'll try to come up with some thing, it may take me a bit, but I have photoshop once again and I LOVE it. (as you can probably tell from the banners thread)
I'm just not too creative at 2am... sweatdrop
