What would you like to see in this guild?
It can be anything related to Body, Mind and Spirit.
Some examples are:
- Exercise - Weight loss - Information on Alternative therapies (such as aromatherapy and reiki) - Meditation
Pretty much anything on those lines or what ever you can think of. I will decide if it is appropriate or not, but let me know.
Also, if you would like to write about something in this forum about anything which is information or advice etc, I could make it into a sticky for you for all to read it

I'd love for some recipes to be included in this guild in order to help me lower the amount of junk food that I eat. I'm a poor cook, so if I want to make something healthy, I'm severely limited to what I can make, which makes it harder for me to stick with it. I get tired of eating the same meal three times a week. sweatdrop Curse my bad cooking skills...
Alternative methods are good too-I'll have to look some up. I'd love to do yoga and pilates (trying to find a class to join-just need the money!)- do they count?

Yep sure, I will put in a section for the recipes smile That's a really good idea.
Same with the alternative activities are good too. Pilates is a lot of fun and really good to tighten up those muscles.

Thank you Kasey! I'm looking around for a good pilates DVD (I tried learning from books, but it's hard to fully understand the movements just from reading the instructions. sweatdrop )
I'll see if I can find some healthy recipes as well. If I find any good ones, I'll post them too.

I bought a Pilates DVD for runners, it's pretty good as it works primarily on your legs and core (areas I really wanted to work). I still can't do it all the way through, some sections even doing the easy version I will be stuffed before the end of it, but the results are so quick.
Well I usually tone up really quick when I actually exercise, I toned up my upper thighs and abs a lot after doing it every day for a week for a party. Of course once the party was over, I stopped doing it and the results dissapeared a lot quicker then it took me to get it.
But it is really good for toning the body without bulking up.
Also I would recommend going to a few actual classes first, they teach you about the positions, breathing, the 'scooping' of your abs and so on. You will get a clearer understanding later on when you read the book you have or watching a DVD

Thank you for the advice! I think there is a yoga class in the city (I went to one lady's class nearby and hated it-she thought that just because I was younger than everyone else, I could bend a lot farther than them. She pushed down on my back when I was stretching, saying I could go heaps further, and I ended up leaving with pulled muscles. evil ) so if I can find transport to and from the city, I could do that.
I'll leave the yoga DVD for awhile. I do know some basic positions that I learnt from a good yoga site. They have pictures and clear instructions, plus the poses aren't too complicated. I can do those and mix them with basic stretches, just to keep myself flexible.
