The tattoo will be on my wrist and it's going to be a dagger dripping blood that has a dragon wrapped around it.. under it there will be a quote inside a document that says "Pain is Love", and then under that will be his birth and death date.. I'll put a picture of it up soon..

I don't think that it's wrong at all. I think it is a very personal way to remember someone that you were very close to and loved dearly. As for myself getting one, I don't believe that I would because I don't know if anyone means just that much to me.
I'm sorry to hear about your brother though and I think your tattoo is an excellent way to remember him forever. He sounds like a great guy to have known. I wish you all the best with your tattoo and hope to see pictures when you get it done!

I don't see anything wrong with it at all. Though, sometimes people get really ugly tattoos because they are so caught up in the message it holds. But it's all what you want personally anyway. I don't know if I'd get one. I don't mourn like other people do.

I plan on getting a tattoo for my grandfather, I haven't figured out what to get, because I want to get one that I like, but also has a meaning, lol. So far all I've thought of that I've immediately nixed are a golf ball & a train >.<

I'm getting a turtle after I get a few others first. In memory of my oldest sister. She practically raised me because my parents we're working so much. So I'm going to have a turtle put on my chest for her.

It's not wrong.
I have a tattoo on my left shoulder blade dedicated to my sister, who passed away December 2005, and I plan on getting one dedicated to my Grandma, who passed away on the 14th of last month.

I don't think it's wrong at all. I'm planning a tattoo or two of that nature, but still kicking around different ideas for designs.
A friend of mine got one for his lacrosse coach; he thinks it's a way of carrying the person with you to through life and into death, so that you'll see them again on the other side. I'm not sure if I buy into that, but it's a beautiful idea.

I really like the idea of getting a tattoo in someone's memory. I'm hopefully getting one for my sister who passed away on my right shoulder, with her name in black italics and angel wings on each side.

I'll put a picture of it up soon.. I Don't think it is wrong to get a memorial tattoo, and yes I would get one. I have a design ready for it. It is for my friend who had commited suicide a few years back, and it shook me up so bad that I forgot that life was worth living. So I designed the word "Remember" so you can read it right side up, then turn it up side down and it looks exactly the same. I can't wait to get it, it will be a great tattoo to have in general even if it isn't a memorial tattoo.
