I'm a wee bit disappointed with this episode. It could've been cool in so many different ways. . . then Jo stunk it up. gonk If I want emo, I've got Sam, don't need you and your melodrama. stressed
EDIT: Well, okay, I watched it again. . . and I'm not so anti-Jo now. ^^ They gave her some much needed depth and she's got more of a little-sister vibe going on (>.> Possibly because I finally realized that she actually reminds me of my younger half sister). Anyhoo, I'm less disappointed after watching it again. sweatdrop

Agree about the half-sister thing, but Jo still played a good part. Good episode overall, it was certainly original. The way Jensen was pulling off his acting brilliantly in this episode. But in general, my rating is: WHERE THE HELL WAS SAM ALL EPISODE!

I know!! gonk I need my Sam fix. It just seems odd to have so little "brother banter" that's part of what makes the show awesome.

Yeah I like that things are, more or less, getting back to normal for the boys.
The next episode looks pretty interesting from what I've seen, and the brother banter is there too.

I'm having to watch the entire series on Youtube as ITV are messing about, haven't had time to check out the preview yet. On www.supernatural.tv they done an interview with good ol' Eric Kripke, he reveals a spoiler about an episode which looks unreal and I want to see it!

New week, new episode discussion!
So any speculations on "The Usual Suspects"?
Right now I don't know too much about it, other than Linda Blair is a guest star and Dean is accused of murder (due to events in "Skin"). I'm happy to get back to the brother interaction too, since it was severely lacking in the last episode. sweatdrop

Well, I really liked this episode! It was much better than "No Exit", to be sure.
I love how, even though the boys were separated during most of it, they were able to convey just how close they are, between how they interact with mere glances and how they think the same.
So much love for The Shining references. whee Very nice.
There wasn't much scare factor in this one, though the gurgling ghost thing was kind of disturbing. I cringed more when Sam was bashing the wall with his elbow. gonk
Speaking of Sam, he's looking better, especially his hair. I much preferred the hairstyle in the last episode, but this one's starting to work a bit better now. And yay for him taking a big more charge, especially with the lack of him in the previous episode.
The next one seems interesting, I don't want to wait a whole week though! gonk

A good episode, but the story was kind of enforced rather than flowing naturally. That's the only way I can describe it. I would give it a 7/10

The preview doesn't really do the next one justice, I think. At least from what I've read about it in spoilers and whatnot. I'm really quite looking forward to it. Also, I just posted up the corresponding lenged over in the Urban Legends thread.

Well that episode was great! Felt a lot like the ones in Season 1 (absolutely nothing wrong with that).
. . .
The big thing though? The previews. They uhm, kind of over shadowed the episode in the fact that they've shown things to come not just from the next episode, but further down the line.
The catch?
Repeats, and thus possibly the Christmas hiatus, start next week. gonk

Hopefully the hiatus will give time for ITV to hurry the hell up and get Season 2 up and running. I think someone's twigged on because a Youtube user has deleted all the past Supernatural episodes from their playlists. Cant find this episode anywhere.
