We can use this thread for anything about NaNoWriMo! Chat, get story advice (or use the brainstorming forum), ask questions, whatever. Just try to stay on topic, okay? wink

Day two has begun! Have you guys been working?

National Novel Writing Month. Every November, they run this program where you write a novel in a month or less. The site has a lot more info than I can give, but it's basically to get people motivated to write, I think.

Sounds like a sure way to get people away from writing. A month? How is that even possible?

Sounds like it, but it is. If you write 2000 words a day, you can do it. And people have.

I'm not too concerned about the deadline, but anything to motivate me is a star in my book.

Get people away? o__O Where do you get that? Its not required by anyone but yourself... Its a good excercise for those who want to finish a novel. Deadlines make things easier.

It does take a bit of work, but its not that hard. I managed to write 1100 words this morning in what was about an hour. So 2000 words a day isn't much of a stretch.

I just cracked 5000 words, but I still have a ways to go before I reach a good amount for today... I need to catch up, or I'll never be ahead of this stressed

That's logical.

Yeah, so I basically doubt I'll win this year (What, I'm only 10k behind for today..... whee ). I'm cool with that, though, as long as I just don't quit completely. How are your stories coming, including those of you not doing NaNoWriMo?

I just now got Word to work, so I'll try to start Bellator again. Then I have three other callobrative series starting, but I have to wait for my dad to return from Virginia. It's coming slow. Maybe I'll try something like NaNo; try and finish the first book of Bellator in a month (or two) just to get myself to do it... What about the rest of ya'll?

Now, I'm even farther behind... Thank goodness for the long weekend (no school for us tomorrow!), and then only two days next week. I think I can get a lot done.

Ooh.
I want to try that this year.
I've never heard of it, so I'd like to try.
Does it cost money to enter or anything?
