I thought that this might belong in a journal, but it isn't really a journal anymore. It's more of a thought that I found and wanted to share and hear replys to; and yet it didn't really seem like a discussion, so I'm putting it here.

I was going through an old journal of mine and I found this:

(As I said, it's an older journal, so please ignore grammar/spelling/punctuation mistakes. I tried to only make edits in places where actual clarification seemed necessary... wink )

This is weird, I was just sitting in the car the other day thinking about what a bad day I was having and then I started think about days and how it may be a bad day but it will only come once. The average person will probably live to be about 80 that means (and I did this on a calculator) that every person will have about 29,200 days. And it made me start to think that it is a big number but you will go through it really fast and that I need to try and enjoy as much of every day as possible. I know I'm not going to enjoy every day and I'm still going to have rough days and some days where I'm not quite sure what happened, but for me it was an interesting thought.

Have a great day/night everyone =)

Well, it is absolutely true.

When we are young, the time seems to be soo distant. When you think, in example, "When I grow up, I want to study for this profesion. But it is very soon and there is too much time before that happens."

When we think of the future it looks so far. But when we grow up, we look back and see how the years have passed by, and the way we didn't noticed how it passed so quickly.

We have to enjoy the life as much as we can.
Even if we live for more than a century, it's very short, just a mere blink in the time.

Whichever way the life treats you, keep on fighting.
You will never know if tomorrow is a bad or a nice day, but it rests on our shoulders to make it better in any way we can.

That's true, that's why you want to "Live your life the way you wished you did, when you're dying". Also there are people who have it worse than you, If you think you're having a bad day...just think how someone else could be doing.....you're probbly pretty lucky compared to many people....

But I agree with you......

Most of a person's trouble in life can be taken back to one factor: worry. We all just worry too much. If you really want to live life to the fullest, you've got to strech out, do a few things that are spontanious, even occasionally irresponsable. Chug three espressos one Sunday night without caring that school's going to be hell tomorrow. Take a mental health day every once in a while. Only once in a while of course, but take a break and don't worry so much. It really can help to make those 29,200 days a whole lot better.

It's scary though, how something can seem so far into the furute, and WHAM! It's happenned, all that sounds a bit stupid coming from my all-of-13-years-experience.

yeah...it's crazy looking at it like that...but it's true...and too many people take A LOT of things for granted....because some people are just dumb....but yeah...live every moment like it was your last and treat EVERYONE like you would want to be treated...because they are most likely fighting a battle that you know NOTHING about.

I'm actually a morbid person. A while back I was sitting in school and suddenly I was like. "Oh my god! I'm 17!" People looked at me funny. I sat up and looked at one of my friends and said "I'm getting old! I'm gonna die in 60 years! That's not alot left!" And they laughed at me... Of course I enjoy my life, even my bad days are happy because I have such great and funny friends. Life's just really short, and then you die. Basically if we look at it, we're all dying. Every second that passes, we're dying, our clock is ticking. We're getting older and closer to that date. Very slowly we kill our bodies, with air pollution, 2nd hand smoke, drugs, alcohol, 1st hand smoke. Even milk apparantly causes cancer! Coffee is bad for you, makes your blood pressure high and stunts your growth, laughing is good for you but also causes high blood pressure so it is also bad for you. A cigarette company actually once said... and this is hard to believe and I don't actually believe it, it just shows how desperate they are to sell, "2% whole milk is actually worse for you than a cigarette.".... What kind of junk is that? Now am I morbid or what? The way I see it, I have every right to be, everyday people find new ways to die...

Time... the amount of days we have left...

I think this is the only place on the whole of Gaia, or any website I belong to for that matter, that actually talks about this.

I have a morbid fear of growing old. I don't mind the idea of growing up and having children, I just don't want to become old.

And I tell myself, that's years away yet, don't worry about it.
Then I think about how quickly the days, weeks, months, are slipping through my fingers.

What if that starts happening with years?
I'll be old before i'm ready for it.
I would've lived my life, but I wouldn't have had enough time to enjoy it, because I was worried.

Isn't that silly?

I've been thinking like that too.
Like, every time I'm on vacation or doing something fun, I aways stop and think that what I'm doing right now will be what I remember for the rest of my life.
It's just... odd. Like, no matter what I do, it's going to end, and then I'm only going to remember it, but I'm doing it right now.
And then I all confused. And then when I'm looking forward to something, and then it happens, and when it's over, I can only look back on it. Like, my future will become my present, and my present will become my past.
And then it goings on like that. I kind of makes me sad, in a way. That these are going to be the best years of my life, and if I don't use them to the fullest, I'm only going to be able to look back on them. And think of how I spent them, instead of actually spending them.

It's just weird to think about.
