Chapter The Warning

I was twelve when it happened. I was walking down a path I made in the forest, I heard a noise behind me. I turned around and saw a giant gold and black snake. His eyes were bright yellow and seemed to be looking not at you but at lands far away.
He rose up until his eyes were level with mine. It seemed to be not looking at me but inside me, deep into my inner soul. After what could have been minutes or hours he broke eye contact. Looking around he laid down. There was a flash and it transformed.
It became a centaur with yellow eyes, golden hair, a black horse body, and a golden tail. He had a golden bow with golden arrows.
“Do not be afraid. I am a messenger and worshiper of the nature goddess Ehlonna. Come here child.” He whispered gently
I slowly approached him. He held out a hand and I took it. With a strong arm he drew close enough so that I could feel his body heat. He took out his bow and an arrow, and shot straight up. After putting his bow away he held me.
I looked up and saw dark storm clouds forming rapidly. A lightening bolt shot down at us. When it hit and disappeared we too disappeared. We reappeared in a beautiful land. To the north were giant mountains. To the east was a beautiful sea. To the west stood thousands of tall strong trees. To the south was a small and beautiful city that looked elven, at the back of the city stood a big castle. We stood in a meadow full of horses, unicorns, prairie dogs, and various other animals. A huge but calm river cut it's way through the forest, and meadow.
“Come with me.” ordered the centaur.
We began walking, or in my case running to keep up, through the meadow and the town. Where delicious smells flowed around us and wonderful sights surrounded us. We made to the castle which was surrounded by flowers.
Sitting on a bench with a shirt that had a unicorn on it was a beautiful elven woman. She was sharpening the points of the arrows which must have gone with the long bow that was sitting beside her.
The centaur bowed and said “Ehlonna I brought the child.” He gestured at me.
Ehlonna looked up and said “ Thank you Lionheart.” She turned to me “ Hello Ellelia. Welcome to my home. Now listen this is very important, an evil is coming and I need you to stop it. You'll live in the woods until you are at one with nature. You will then begin to have powers drawn from nature. Here's a scimitar for defense. You can have one of my best horses to watch over you.”
With that we left. When we arrived back in the meadow a fully white horse greeted us.
“This is Angel” Stated Lionheart.
I stroked her mane lovingly, and whispered “Angel”
The next thing I knew I was in a forest...














The Beginning

Angel and I walked until we came to a meadow with a giant tree in the middle. The branches formed a kind of roof to keep the rain out. I dug a fire pit and surrounded it with rocks. Then I gathered more rocks one large and flat and a bunch of smaller rocks. I made a rain proof place for wood. Lastly I went to gather wood. I found lots of logs, twigs, and branches.
That night I caught a rabbit and cooked it i also planted herbs, berries and tree that would be edible. After a year the plants flourished and so did I.
I was faster, quieter, and gained a considerable amount of knowledge about nature and how to survive in it. I built a small shack in the tree and a sort of barn for Angel to get a way from bad weather, and to help keep warm in the winter.
I was running low on wood and food, and winter was coming so I picked all the berries and fruit along with a few vegetables and put them in my storing place. I went into the forest which seemed unusually forbidding it looked like they were warning me not to enter. I however was completely concentrated on preparing for the winter, and paid no attention to their abnormality. I found a herd of deer and sneaked up on them I hit two with my sling. I hauled them back one by one.
I went back for wood and the trees seem desperate to stop me but did nothing, and I paid no attention to anything other than the ground where all the fallen branches were. I heard something and stood up so suddenly that i dropped what I was holding. I turned around and was frozen by fear.
Before me was an inter dimensional portal it was black swirling with only a hint of gray. Red eyes appeared and stared at me for a moment. Then slowly a head with teeth stained with the blood of its victims that would never come off, its eyes gave nothing but fear and pain, it was completely black and once it was all the way out it looked like a wolf from a place darker than the abyss. It approached with no fear no pity nothing but hunger, and fear seemed to radiate from it. In the distance I heard the sound of something crashing through the forest.
I could see nothing but darkness and hear nothing but the sound of my heart beating, and each time it beat I wondered if it would be my last. Suddenly I snapped out of the hold it had over me. In the distance I heard wolves howling and wondered if that was what woke me up. It was too late the Shadow wolf was jumping to attack. Its paws had just hit my shoulder and its claws were just beginning to tear through my flesh when a horse that seemed to glow in the darkness hit it. I heard some bones crack and heard the creature howl in pain and anger. It got up and ran away leaving a trail of black blood behind.
Angel might have followed it if I hadn't fainted, but I did. She stopped and came back to guard over me as I slept. It seemed that the claws had some kind of poison in them that parallelizes the prey. After a few hours I awoke to see Angel still standing over me. I was weak and could barley stand but Angel was there to help me.
The next day I returned to that spot with Angel who scarcely left me since the attack. I gathered all the wood and left. Through the next few days I heard a lot of howling, not the mysterious but beautiful howling of a wolf but a long eerie howl that made you shiver. I knew that more were coming and that they were building their strength. I shivered at the thought if those
monsters taking over the world and so it was then and there that I vowed to stop them.
Angel had become restless and was continuously trying to run away so I was forced to tie her up. I walked into the woods to gather berries and wood I came to the spot under a cliff that I always went to and began to gather berries. I was suddenly aware that I was not alone. I turned around and saw twenty pairs of glowing red eyes staring at me.
As they came closer I became more and more angry at myself for tying Angel up. I backed up until my back was up against the cliff. One ran up and jumped at me. With a mighty swing of my scimitar I defeated it It fell to the ground dead bleeding creating a pool of black blood. The others didn't seem to care.
“So” I thought “they have no compassion for their own.
They approached slowly and cautiously snarling as they walked, their hackles were raised, and they were glad at the thought of fresh meat. They began to charge but stopped suddenly. It took me a moment to register why they stopped and I heard a sound that would come to me and bring me joy forever more. It was the wolf's howl a battle cry by the sound of it. I heard the soft pat of the wolves and when I looked up I saw wolves flying through the air at the creatures.
The battle was long and hard and many fell in both sides in the end the wolves won. A beautiful wolf approached me slowly it was injured badly and it seemed that every step caused it pain. Its eyes were sky blue its coat would usually shine silver but now it was stained red. It was enormous and I thought it must be a dire wolf. I walked towards it and held out my hand it sniffed it and allowed me to pet her she flinched as my hand ran over a particularly deep cut. My hands began to glow and the cuts closed. I rand my hand over all the others and they were all healed. They walked with me back to camp but did not enter I waved good-bye they howled and left.
I ran to Angel and untied her and said I was sorry. I hugged her gave her berries and climbed up to the tree house. Through the next month nothing happened it had seemed to me that they had given up until...




































A mission


One night there was a frenzy of howling and barking Angel was panicking and couldn't stand still. I tried to calm her but gave up and fell into an uneasy sleep. I was awoken by a panicked neigh and hungry barking I looked down just in time to see Angel running into the forest followed by four of the shadow wolves. Quickly I grabbed all my stuff and ran after her. She wasn't hard to follow because of a trail of blood she left behind. The trees suddenly opened into a meadow and in the center stood a single stump and angel lay near it. A shadow wolf stood over her I charged and swung killing it in one hit. I leaned down and wept because Angel was dead I however had to cut my grief short. About thirty or so shadow wolves had me surrounded. I drew my scimitar and stood on the stump.
Two charged from different sides testing my defenses. I ducked and held my shield over my head for the first one throwing it to the ground I plunged my scimitar into it before it could even stand. The other caught me off guard it tackled me from behind knocking me to the ground I took up my scimitar and used my shield to throw it off of me. I stood up and attacked I won easily two shadow wolves charged at me from behind. One grabbed my scimitar while the other tackled me. A third ran up and ripped the shield from my hand. The one on top of me was looking at me hungrily.
“so” I thought “ this is the end.”
It slashed me from my shoulder and across my chest. The rest formed a tighter circle around me. I closed my eyes and began to watch my life flash be fore my eyes I saw me as a five year old watching as I was taken away from my real parents before my town was attacked by elf hating humans. I cried and fought against the men who were putting me in the carriage. Then I saw the foster home I was put in every day I sat there waiting for my parents to come and get me. One day a mean looking woman and an even meaner looking man walked in they adopted me and forced me to do the chores that their servants wouldn't do. Then I saw me walking through the woods every time I had a chance...
“Wake-up Elelia you have to wake up it is time.” Whispered a kind voice. It was Lionheart. “Lionheart... Where am I? Am I dead?” I asked weakly. “No Kiara and her pack came just in time to save you” A huge female dire wolf walked forward. Her shoulder was bleeding badly and she walked with a limp.
“oh, thank.-you Kiara that's the second time you've saved my live.” I hugged her and watched in amazement as the wounds closed. I did this until all the wolves were fully healed. “So what do we do now?” I asked. “You will go into town with Kiara and create a group to battle the shadow wolves with. And don't worry Kiara knows the way to town.” with that Lionheart took out his bow and disappeared into the sky.
The next day we walked through the forest until dusk then we stopped and ate dinner. The next day we walked until we came to a large clearing and on the other side was a large city surrounded by walls. On each of the four corners stood huge towers. A gate stood open but not for long the sun was setting so we ran forward and made it in time to hear them shouting about closing the gate.
“Wait I'm coming!” I shouted. They hesitated and asked “Who are you and why do you want to come to our village?” “I'm a weary traveler who wants rest ad good food” I answered. They let me enter. “Thank-you” I murmured.
I walked through the city's dark streets which were unusually empty. Kiara was keeping to the shadows, most people would panic at the sight of a five foot tall wolf. “Give me all your money and no one gets hurt” said a harsh voice from the shadows. Then three raggedy men stepped out of the shadows smiling malevolently. “No!” I said as I stepped back up against the wall. I whistled and kiara came running out and jumped on the one to the left and i drew my scimitar and attacked another.

Writers block. Well I like.Some grammar issues but it's really good. 3nodding

Nice, very funny.

I like it and it's very interesting. I wouldn't have read all that if it wasn't. It would be very interesting if a woman, a little older than ur character, I can't remember her name at the moment, both broke up the fight and scolded the men. That would be funny.

It's a lot to read and most wouldn't have wanted to spend time reading it. I like it, it's really awesome, looks of action. It would be very funny and interesting if a woman was incharge of the people trying to rob ur character and she scolds them for doing so. It was just something that came to me after I read it.
